ZAMBIA
Last week it was
stated that
Helen Hindson (see background in
Prayer Requests for
24th Sept.) was to be repatriated to
Northern Ireland from South Africa on
Tuesday 9th
October. In practice this didn’t
happen, and
Helen needs to stay in Johannesburg
for a while longer before she is allowed to
travel. Please remember this situation in
your prayers.
JAPAN
Ken and
Christine Cowell would value
prayer
for a special seminar on counselling to be
held this coming weekend,
19th to 21st
October. Twenty-eight believers from
the assembly will be attending the sessions,
which are quite intense.
Pray
that it will be a real blessing to them.
THAILAND
Peter
Ferry is currently visiting
Malaysia,
where he was booked to speak at a Family
Camp over the weekend of 13th and 14th
October and at a Missions Conference
this week.
In all, he is speaking about a dozen times,
so please
pray for strength for this heavy
schedule and that his ministry will be
effective.
BRAZIL
Jeff Watson
advises that the judge in charge of
his court case has called another
conciliation meeting with the architect who
caused the problem for them. This meeting is
to take place on
Thursday
18th October. Previously, in August,
the architect was ordered by the court to
pay all damages and refund his fee. Please
pray
that justice will be done, as there is much
corruption in the legal system.
MEXICO
Eglon
and Judith Harris ask for
prayer
for Eglon’s
preaching engagements in the coming weeks,
in particular a young people’s meeting in
Tlilapan on
20th of this month and a regional
men’s meeting in
Nueva
Huixcolotla on
27th.
CANADA

4 Assemblies.
EASTERN
EUROPE
ECHOES have been
advised that Polish national worker
Henry
Turkanik is very unwell. He is due to
be admitted to a medical clinic later this
week for further investigation. Please
pray
that a correct diagnosis will be made and
that appropriate treatment will be
forthcoming. In the meanwhile please
remember him and his family at this time.
FRANCE
Alan and
Valerie Kyle advise that the
Onesime
Christian bookshop is planning a
special weekend from
19th to 20th
October, with a Christian author who
writes children’s books. He will be present
in the bookshop on
Friday
afternoon, will speak at a conference on the
Friday
evening, and will lead a workshop for Sunday
school teachers on the
Saturday
afternoon. On
21st
October, Alan and Valerie will be
attending a baptism service in
Rambouillet.
One of the three candidates,
Daniel,
is a man who has been prayed for for over 20
years. His son is also being baptised.
Please remember
the GLO team
in
Alencon (Lower NormanbyFrance), which
will be involved in evangelistic outreach
activities this coming week. Please
pray
that the team members will enjoy safety of
travel and good health during this time. In
addition, please
pray
for a good working relationship within the
team, that meaningful contacts will be made,
and for lives to be touched by the gospel.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Colin and
Rosemary Sheldon advise that their
assembly has been given permission to hold
three special Sunday evening programmes in
the local

will take place on
21st October.
Please pray
that many people will respond to the
invitations being given out.
