The Haven ministry to its new

serious problems with her health in the eighth month of her pregnancy.
Pray, too, for
Jonathan Watson, in
Recife, who is under pressure at
the moment with various difficulties. Please
pray for the Lord’s help and
protection for him.

FRANCE
Alan and
Valerie Kyle Dunkerque) advise that the
Onésime
bookshop will be participating in a national secular event over the
weekend 13th-15th October, which
is aimed at encouraging people to read more. As well as events planned
in the shop, permission has been received to allow the puppet teams to
perform in the main square and on the seafront – an
answer to prayer. The young
people from the Petite Synthe
assembly will be hosting a special evening in the hall on Saturday
evening, when members of the
Gideons will
be present. A special outreach evening, with the theme ‘The
Bible – a Book that knows no frontiers’, is planned for ladies on
Friday, when a French assemblies’
missionary from Chad will be speaking. Throughout the weekend,
literature will be distributed and it is hoped that there will be many
conversations which will encourage people to read God’s Word. Please
pray for all these special
events.
Gerry and
Dorothy Seed (Nantes) are looking forward to six people being
baptised on
15th October, including their two
older daughters, Naomi and
Laura. This is a great
encouragement to the church, as well as a good opportunity to invite
unsaved friends along. Each candidate will share their testimony, so
please pray for the Lord’s help
for them, and that He will work in blessing and salvation in the hearts
of those who listen.
