Lower down this page there are links to short "5-10 minute" devotional messages which have been shared with the Christians at Redcar Gospel Hall. They are not an extensive study of a particular subject, but are meant to "warm the heart" as they reflect upon the Scriptures. They are being continually added to.

We would recommend to you the discipline of reading each day some portion of the Bible, the Word of God. There are many "aids" to help us achieve this, and what suits one person may not suit another, and so it becomes a personal decision. Several in the Redcar Assembly use the Radio Bible Class Daily Bread and you might care to try this. Others use a Daily Text calendar such as the devotional section of the "Choice Gleanings" (a paper copy is available from John Ritchie Ltd), and there are very many others available. The choice is yours, but as stated above we would certainly recommend that each day you hide a portion of God's Word in your heart. If you need help to get started then please contact us.

We would also recommend to you the series of "Day by Day" readings published by Precious Seed Publications (also available from John Ritchie Ltd) and Spurgeons "Morning and Evening" daily meditations which give a different reading and comment for the beginning and end of the day.
