monthly English service. The next one takes
place on 26th August.
PERU
Please continue to
pray for the
group from Spain who are visiting
Peru until
the 28th August. The group comprises about 15 young
people and four or five adults, and they will be
helping to rebuild believers’ homes, as well as
working in children’s evangelism, discipleship and
leadership training.
Pray that this will be a life-changing
experience for all the team members.
Please pray for those
affected by the earthquake which rocked the
country on Wednesday 15th August. Colleagues at
CMML (USA) have heard from Gordon and
Florence Wakefield in Lima, who were able to
make contact with a believer in Ica. She
was able to confirm that there were no cases of
personal injury among believers in any of the
six southern assemblies and is coordinating with
believers from these assemblies to ascertain
immediate needs. Ica suffered extensive
damage and homes and buildings have been either
partially or completely destroyed. Other areas
have suffered similarly. Pray for
believers seeking to help in the relief effort.
ALBANIA
Peter Hedley is
travelling to Albania during the last week of
August and will stay for three or four weeks.
Please remember him as he travels, and pray
that his visit will be an encouragement to the
believers there.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Noel and Liza
McMeekin request prayer for a Bible
Activity Week being held from 20th August in
their own assembly in Drum.
Andrew and Gillian
Shanks advise that on 22nd August
they are planning to take their stand to the
show in County Limerick. Please pray for
help on the day, and that the Lord will prepare
hearts to receive the literature and children’s
packs distributed. This is a new area of work
for Andrew and Gillian and they
are looking to the Lord for guidance for next
year to visit more shows.
SPAIN
Jesus and Helen
Ortiz advise that the annual evangelistic and
Bible study camp
is taking place in
Piedralaves,
Avila, until the
30th August. The assembly in
Avila has
been reaching out to
Sotilla de la Adrada and there is now quite a
large group of believers there.
Pray for this
growing testimony, and for national worker
Luis de Miguel
who will be staying in
Sotillo
during the summer to support them.
LOCAL
Allan Bowman (Maddiston) is
the planned (D.V.) speaker on Sunday,
26th August,
2007.
An
Open Air
witness is planned to be held at 5:30 pm outside
Larkswood Rd Community Centre.
