JAPAN
Ken Cowell has
advised that Christine
is progressing well following her operation, and has
been allowed home from hospital. They are grateful to those
who prayed for her.
MEXICO
Pam Jewitt requests
prayer for two
evangelistic Easter concerts, to be held on
24th
and 25th
March, in which she will be singing. Many
non-Christians are expected to attend.
FRANCE
Geoff and Annette Cawston
advise that on 24th March,
representatives of assemblies from a large area of Western
France will meet in Rennes
for a day of fellowship. Please
pray that bonds
between the churches will be strengthened and that the day
will be an encouragement and source of practical help to the
participants, many of whom will travel long distances to be
there. They also mention that the churches at
La Roche-sur-Yon and
Le Mans are looking
for full-time workers to join them. Please
pray that the Lord
will prompt suitable folk to apply for these positions.
Jonathan Hanley would
appreciate prayer for
a day session he is taking in
Lyon next
Saturday, 24th March.
The day has been organised by
Allan Kitt for
assembly leaders in the area, and
Jonathan has been
asked to speak on “Practical
Ethics for Pastoral Work”.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Continue to
pray for
Noel and Liza McMeekin,
and the annual Postal Bible School prize givings, This week,
prize givings will be held on
20th March Limerick and
Tralee, on the 21st
at Adare
and Limerick, and on the 24th at
Enniscorthy and Waterford.
John and Linda Stanfield
are planning a youth weekend from
23rd to 25th March.
They will be taking many of the youngsters who come to their
youth club and would value
prayer for safety and wisdom, and that the Lord would
speak powerfully into the lives of these young people.
LOCAL
Tom Turton is
responsible for the Gospel Service this Sunday evening.
Please pray. It is
encouraging that both children and adults continue to come,
but we should not assume it will always be like that.
