Prayer Requests for Week Commencing 19-03- 2007

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.

JAPAN

Ken Cowell has advised that Christine is progressing well following her operation, and has been allowed home from hospital. They are grateful to those who prayed for her.

MEXICO

Pam Jewitt requests prayer for two evangelistic Easter concerts, to be held on 24th and 25th March, in which she will be singing. Many non-Christians are expected to attend.

FRANCE

Geoff and Annette Cawston advise that on 24th March, representatives of assemblies from a large area of Western France will meet in Rennes for a day of fellowship. Please pray that bonds between the churches will be strengthened and that the day will be an encouragement and source of practical help to the participants, many of whom will travel long distances to be there. They also mention that the churches at La Roche-sur-Yon and Le Mans are looking for full-time workers to join them. Please pray that the Lord will prompt suitable folk to apply for these positions.

Jonathan Hanley would appreciate prayer for a day session he is taking in Lyon next Saturday, 24th March. The day has been organised by Allan Kitt for assembly leaders in the area, and Jonathan has been asked to speak on “Practical Ethics for Pastoral Work”.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Continue to pray for Noel and Liza McMeekin, and the annual Postal Bible School prize givings, This week, prize givings will be held on 20th March Limerick and Tralee, on the 21st at Adare and Limerick, and on the 24th at Enniscorthy and Waterford.

John and Linda Stanfield are planning a youth weekend from 23rd to 25th March. They will be taking many of the youngsters who come to their youth club and would value prayer for safety and wisdom, and that the Lord would speak powerfully into the lives of these young people.

LOCAL

Tom Turton is responsible for the Gospel Service this Sunday evening. Please pray.  It is encouraging that both children and adults continue to come, but we should not assume it will always be like that.
