REPUBLIC
OF SOUTH AFRICA
Please
pray for
Rodney Brown (Cape
Town) as he travels to
Botswana on
4th April for a
three-day conference to be held in
Serowe. He will be
responsible for three sessions of ministry and one of gospel
preaching, and other speakers from
Botswana will also
take part. Pray for
safe travel for Rodney
and that the Word preached will be a blessing to those who
attend.
BRAZIL
Harry and Beth Wilson (Porto Alegre) are busy with
arrangements for the annual conference, which is due to be
held on 6th April.
Please pray for all
the final preparations, and for the Lord to add His blessing
to the event.
ALBANIA
Peter and Riitta Hedley request
prayer for the Easter
camp to be held in Vlore.
This is a highlight of the year for the believers and they
are looking forward to the Bible teaching of
Stephen McQuoid, as
well as the time of fellowship together. Please
pray especially for
several non-Christians who will be present, that they may
receive revelation from God concerning their spiritual need
and have decisive dealings with the Saviour.
FRANCE
David Sutherland (Arras) has been invited by his
local Town Council to take part in a ceremony
on 9th April,
commemorating the Battle of Arras, which took place 90 years
ago. Over a thousand people are expected to attend this
event, including ambassadors, government ministers and the
Canadian Prime Minister.
Pray for guidance for
David as he chooses a suitable Bible passage to read.
Alain and Christine Monclair (Quimper
Region) advise that the
St Lunaire camp will
be celebrating its 40th anniversary over the Easter weekend.
Praise God for this
milestone, and pray
that the camp work may continue and bring glory to the Lord.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Colin and Rosemary Sheldon are visiting
Romania from
2nd to 13th April. A
number of meetings have been arranged for
Colin in and around
Cluj, and
prayer would be
appreciated for help with these and that his ministry will
be a blessing to the listeners.
Pray, too, that
Rosemary will keep
well on the trip. They also hope to visit an orphanage which
the ladies at Dublin
have been supporting.
Michael and Shirley McKillen (Gorey)
request prayer for
their boys’ camp
which will be held over the Easter weekend. Some are
attending this year who have had little or no previous
exposure to the gospel. Please
pray that the young
believers will be strengthened in their faith, and that
others will trust in the Lord.
Andrew and Gillian Shanks (Newtownshandrum) would
appreciate prayer
this week as they help run a
Holiday Bible Club in a small assembly in
Newcastle West. The
assembly hopes to be able to start up a regular children’s
work as a result. Pray
also for Gillian as
she speaks at an Easter girls’ camp, for girls aged 8-11.
They are expecting 30 girls to attend from Good Friday to
Easter Monday.
ITALY
Robert and Muriel Hamilton request prayer for their
Easter outreach at Santa
Maria a Vico, which takes place from
4th to 11th April. A
GLO team will be
visiting to help with this.
Please also remember the
GLO teams in
Alcala de Henares (Spain),
and Trujillo (Peru), which will be involved in
evangelistic outreach activities this coming week. Please
pray for a good
working relationship within the teams, that meaningful
contacts will be made, and for lives to be touched by the
gospel.
LOCAL
Good Friday morning service at 11:00am. About 1200
invitations have been distributed in the area together with
the 2-fold brochure. Please pray.
