ZAMBIA

Eric McCaughren had laser eye surgery last Wednesday. Give thanks that the procedure went smoothly and appears to have been successful. Pray for Eric on 30th September, when he will be leading a two-hour seminar on the Da Vinci Code book and film, which are causing confusion among believers and unbelievers.

ZIMBABWE

Sandra Jones has an appointment with the oncologist on Wednesday, 20th September. It is expected that a further course of chemotherapy will follow. Sandra has also had to have six screws and a plate put into her ankle, which she broke a while ago. Deryck says he is still able to continue with his preaching and teaching. Please remember them both in your prayers.

MEXICO

Pam Jewitt reports that the recent operation on her spine was successful. She is now able to raise her arms, and x-rays show no pressure. Please pray for her continuing good health.

REPUBLIC OF HONDURAS

Retired missionaries Allister and Jean Shedden are planning a return visit to Honduras from 25th September until the end of October. They have been invited to attend the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the building of the first gospel hall in Tegucigalpa. Today, there are five assemblies within the city limits. Please pray for Allister and Jean during this trip.

ALBANIA

Colin and Elida Stephen report that their children’s work starts up again this month. Colin will be involved in the teenagers’ classes in Shkoder and Koplik. This is a difficult age group to work with, but Colin is keen to teach them important truths from God’s Word which will help them in their daily lives. Please pray that Colin will be able to teach in a way that will bring fruit for God’s glory in the lives of these young people.

FRANCE

Peter Wheeler would appreciate prayer for his health. He has been doing exercises to strengthen his heart and is feeling better, but still needs to build up more strength and put on weight.

Graham & Alison Black in their new role with a Radio Ministry from Marseille (called La Voix de Evangile Calling = The Voice of the Gospel Calling) request prayer for a European Conference of the Global Outreach Mission from Sept 26th to 29th.  Decisions will be made concerning the role they will have within radiowork.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Please pray for Andrew Burt, who is speaking at a children’s camp being held at the SU centre in Avoca from 22nd-24th September. Please pray that the Lord will touch these young hearts.

NORWAY

Pray for Nat Rodgers, who is visiting the Ukraine at present. He is taking Bible studies for a team of Norwegian believers who have an interest in supporting the work in that country. Some of the team members are young people who need help in their spiritual growth. Services are also arranged in various places around Kiev, so please pray for the team as they travel around.
