ANGOLA
Give thanks that
Alex and Luke Howden,
the sons of Brian and Debbie
Howden, have both recovered sufficiently from their
illness to be able to return to school. Alex is still sore
and stiff from the lumbar puncture, but this should wear off
soon. Brian and
Debbie are very
grateful to those who prayed
and sent messages of encouragement.
ZAMBIA
Eric McCaughren
advises that on 17th March
he is scheduled to return to
Misaka, and will be
speaking on
Eternal
Security, a problematic doctrine for most believers,
including elders in the rural assemblies. From
19th to 24th March he
is teaching a Survey of the Old Testament to 21 students at
the GLO Centre, outside Ndola. Please
pray for help and
wisdom from the Lord as Eric
carries out these engagements.
JAPAN
Christine Cowell is
improving in health following her recent operation.
Praise God that the
bleeding is no longer causing a problem and that her high
temperature, which was caused by an abscess, is coming down
with treatment. She hopes to be able to return home shortly.
ALBANIA
Peter Hedley hopes to
return to Albania during the last half of this month. He
asks for prayer for
the Easter camp to be held at
Vlore.
Pray that the young
believers who attend will be helped by the teaching, and
that some unsaved may come to know the Lord.
Stephen McQuoid of
Tilsley College will be the main speaker.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Continue to
pray for
Noel and Liza McMeekin,
who are currently involved in the annual
Postal
Bible School prize givings. This week, prizegivings
will be held on 12th March
Newbridge, 13th Cloughjordan and Kilkenny, and 14th Port
Laoise and Celbridge.
Pray for safety as Noel and Liza travel many miles
during these weeks.
LOCAL
Paul Jackson (Harrogate)
is expected on Sunday evening for the preaching of the
Gospel. With about 12 Teens or young people attending, we
need great wisdom from on high on how to deal with the
discipline problem. Please
pray. In addition to the young folk it is very
encouraging to see the number of adults who are joining with
us. |
