THAILAND
Peter and Peggy
Ferry request prayer for their colleague
Amnart, who is speaking at a
Bible camp next week. Please pray
that he will be helped in his preparation, and that there will be mutual
blessing for speaker and hearer alike. Please continue to
pray for
Peggy, as she builds up her
strength for daily walking.
BRAZIL
Walter
Alexander advises that he is due to speak at the annual
conference in Campo Verde on
23rd and 24th October, and would
appreciate prayer as he prepares
and carries out this engagement.
CANADA
Peter Smith’s
programme for the next few days (D.V.) is as follows:
Mon. 16th -
20th - Calgary: Treasure
Seekers series
Sun 22nd - 27th
- Deep Cove, Vancouver:
Treasure Seekers series (plus ministry & Gospel on the Lord's Day).
He would value supporting
prayer for all these meetings.
BELGIUM
Anne Dryburgh
would value prayer on
21st October, when a friend of
hers will be coming to Gent to
speak on how to be a
Christian in the workplace. Quite a few people have questions on
this subject, and it is hoped that this event will encourage them and
give them confidence to live as believers in environments that are often
quite hostile. Anne also mentions
that there is to be a baptism service on
22nd. Those being baptised are two teenagers, two young adults
and a lady in her 60s.
FRANCE
Following on from last week’s
prayer request,
Alan and Valerie Kyle advise that
they had a very encouraging weekend at events encouraging people to read
more. Hundreds of people heard the
gospel in their assembly building and in the open air. Please
pray that literature will be read
and that lasting contacts will be made as a result of this outreach.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Andrew
and Lorna Burt (Enniscorthy) report that for six Monday evenings,
starting on 16th October, they
will be holding an introductory Bible study for young people. They have
invited all the young people from their own church and youth clubs.
Pray that those who have trusted
Christ will be clearer about their faith and be encouraged to witness
for Him, and that those who do not know the Lord will ask Him into their
lives.
Please pray for
Michael McKillen (Cootehill), who is taking a week of children’s
meetings in Bandon, Co. Cork,
from 16th-20th October.
LOCAL
Mike Oakes
is responsible for the Gospel Service
on Sunday evening, 22nd October.
There is a Seed
Sower’s packing day at Wylam
next Saturday morning (21st
October).
Alan Barber
is on school holidays next week but would value
prayer for a week of
Children’s Meetings at
Bicester.
Civic Opening
of the Edenhall Grove premises
This has been arranged
for Friday, 19th January, 2007, at 12:00
noon. It will take the form of a “church service”, lasting no
more than 40 mins, and Rutherford Raby (Wylam)
has kindly accepted the invitation to give a short message.
