CANADA
Peter Smith asks for
prayer for this week in
Charlton (Ontario)
taking children’s meetings. The theme for Bible-Time is
'God's
Way of Salvation', linking in to the 5 key topics
from the serialised book- God's love, Man's sin, Christ's
death, Man's choice, God's salvation. Last Monday evening
there were 39 children present.
FRANCE
David and Brigitte Sutherland have invited
fellow-missionary Heather
Skene to come to
Arras to hold an exhibition of 30 of her paintings,
many of which have a religious theme. The official opening
will be on Friday,
and local dignitaries have been invited. On
Saturday evening
there will be an evangelistic talk on
Darkness
and Light, both in the paintings and in our lives.
Pray that many people
will visit the exhibition, which will continue until Tuesday
evening.
Alain and Christine Monclair (Quimper Region) request
prayer for
Le Havre assembly
which has been going through a difficult period.
Alain is visiting
them on 13th and 14th May.
Pray that he and
other leaders will be able to help them through this time.
ITALY
Giuseppe
and Rachel Palermo (Fano) have been invited to the
church at Spinetta Marengo
this coming weekend to do puppet training with the
young people, who want to use puppets in children’s
evangelism. Please pray
that Giuseppe and
Rachel will be able
to encourage these young people and equip them with the
necessary skills.
TURKEY
Please remember Christian workers
and national believers in Turkey following the recent
martyrdoms in Malatya.
Pray that the Lord
will comfort the families affected and that the Christians
will remain strong in their faith.
LOCAL
The visit to
Wheatacres,
previously arranged for last Sunday, has been re-arranged
for this coming Sunday
at 5:00 pm; the
earlier start will allow time for refreshments to be taken
with the residents.
Jonathan Gibson (Harrogate) is responsible for the
preaching of the Gospel
next Sunday evening at 6:30 pm. Please remember in
prayer.
The
AGM is arranged for
next Tuesday evening
at 7:00 pm.
Alan Barber is visiting schools in
Peterborough next
week and Bromborough
the following week. He would value
