TANZANIA

Ron and Maria Cunningham would appreciate prayer as they visit various stores in Moshi town and leave tracts with calendars for the customers. These have been well received in previous years, so pray for a good response this year also.

JAPAN

Ken and Christine Cowell have some special Christmas outreaches coming up. The first one is a Women’s Outreach on 13th December, the second one is the Prison Christmas Outreach, and finally there will be an English Outreach on Sunday 17th. Please pray for God’s blessing on these events.

ETHNIC MINORITIES

Ruth Cushing requests prayer for her Christmas programmes. She will be inviting all her friends to her home for a meal and, more importantly, to hear the message of the gospel through the Christmas story. Miss Ann Hughes will be giving the message, so please pray for her, too. Four of these meals are planned, on the 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st December, from 1 to 3 pm.

FRANCE

ECHOES report that Rhoda Porteous was called Home to be with the Lord on 7th December. Please pray for Colin and all the family as they mourn her loss, that they might know the Lord’s comfort.

ITALY

Robert and Muriel Hamilton request prayer for pre-Christmas events coming up in the next couple of weeks. On 13th December an evangelistic event - the Ladies’ Christmas Special - will be held in Fuorigrotta church. On 17th there is to be a Christmas Recital by children from the Campegna housing estate, to which relatives and friends will be invited. On 21st December the distribution of calendars will commence in the area around the Fuorigrotta church building. Please pray that the Lord will be glorified in it all, and for children and adults to be touched by the message of Christmas.

IRELAND

Please continue to remember in prayer Noel McMeekin and the distribution of Gospel Calendars to all the homes around Drum, and the provision of a Christmas tract to every home in Cootehill during next week.

LOCAL

David Cartwright and Mike Oakes are responsible for the Carol Service on the 17th at 6:30 pm. 1200 invitation cards have been distributed in the immediate area, and an advertisement has been put in the Gazette. Mark Turnbull (BBC Radio Tees) has also been asked to announce it on his Sunday morning programme.  Please pray that God will draw many unto the Saviour at this Christmas time.
