Prayer Requests for Week Commencing 2nd October, 2006

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.

THAILAND

Peter and Peggy Ferry are returning to Phuket on 5th October. Peggy continues to make progress. Please pray for safe travelling, and that Peggy will enjoy the benefit of the treatment she has had.

FRANCE

Allan and Anne Kitt are planning a church weekend away from 7th to 9th October, at a Christian centre 50 miles from Villefranche, in the Jura foothills. They will be looking at the subject of Prayer, and hope to gain some practical experience in this as well.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Noel and Liza McMeekin advise that their home Bible study has restarted for the winter months. Last Tuesday, one lady, who has been attending since she became a Christian three years ago, brought her husband John. This is a real breakthrough for her. Please pray that John will continue to attend and that he will find the Saviour. Noel and Liza also request prayer as a team delivers 18,000 tracts around local towns and villages during October. Pray that meaningful contacts will be made through this outreach.

SPAIN

Ken Barrett requests prayer for his visit to Ferrol, in Galicia, next weekend. On 8th October he will be preaching at El Olivo church, Ferrol, in the morning, and Agua Viva church, Narón, in the evening. Please pray especially for the growth and stability of the young believers in these two small churches.

LOCAL

The Gospel Speaker  planned for next Sunday evening is Richard Malcolm from N. Shields.
