ZAMBIA
Sharon Goldsworthy, a short-term worker at
Amano
School, reports that
during the Spiritual Emphasis week in mid-May several
students became Christians. Since then, 16 secondary
students have completed a baptism course and will be
baptised on
17th June.
Pray for the Lord’s
blessing on these young believers.
INDIA
Ron
Penny (Bangalore) says that the Lord is at work at
Kollegal and three of
the senior girls are being baptised this month. Give thanks
for this, and pray
that the Lord will provide a Matron or Superintendent for
the Girls’ Home.
JAPAN
Ken and Christine Cowell (Kushiro) are encouraged
that the young people have a desire to reach others with the
gospel. From time to time they hold an outreach event, to
which unconverted friends are invited. Please
pray for an
evangelistic event being held on
19th June.
Pray, too, for the
Lord to raise up young Christian men who can lead these
young folk in their walk and service for God.
PAKISTAN
Liz Greig says they have a difficult week ahead at
the Kunhar Christian
Hospital, with a particular shortage of doctors, so
prayer would be
valued. Haroon and
Miriam Lal Din have
just returned from a visit to Sweden and Germany.
Pray that they won’t
be swamped with the responsibilities that build up.
FRANCE
Mike and Alison Packer (Laval) request prayer for
their 17 year-old nephew
Denison, who collapsed last week. It was discovered
that he has a tumour behind his brain which is pressing at
the top of the spinal column. He underwent a 12-hour
operation and surgeons have removed 60 per cent of the
tumour. There is a serious risk of paralysis as the tumour
is pressing on the part that controls movement. Please
pray for
Denison’s recovery
and for the family at this time.
Mike and Alison
have also given us an update on
Lara, their friends’
nine year-old daughter. They say her tumour has shrunk
following treatment, and she is much better, even riding her
bike again! Please continue to
pray for
Lara and her parents.
SPAIN
Tim and Elena Glasscock request
prayer for a gospel
concert being held on 16th
June in Villares. Please
pray for unbelievers
to attend and that they will respond to the message in song.
LOCAL

evening for the Gospel
Service. |
