Prayer Requests for Week Commencing 25-06-2007

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.  An index of previous weekly Missionary Prayer Requests is given at the foot of the page.

TANZANIA

Ron and Maria Cunningham recently held a week of children’s meetings at their local assembly, for three hours each day. Over the five days a total of 576 children came and the whole assembly got involved in the effort. A similar outreach took place at Kahe assembly last week, and they are considering holding them in other places. Please pray for all the children who have attended or will attend these meetings.

SOUTH AFRICA

Rodney and Joy Brown are due to leave for Vredenburg on 30th June for a week of gospel outreach to children. Rodney has been asked to speak each morning, Monday to Friday, and Joy will be helping with other activities. Rodney has also been asked to speak to the Sunday school children on Sunday morning, and preach the gospel to the adults on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. Please pray for help and that the Lord will speak to children and adults alike.

ZAMBIA

David and Grace Croudace ask for prayer for a Sunday school seminar which they hope to hold in Malawi for Malawian and Mozambican assemblies near the border. This will start on 27th June and go on for four days. Over 60% of the population are under 14 years old, and David and Grace are keen to encourage the assemblies to reach out to young people.

FRANCE

Mike and Alison Packer say that their nephew Denison was unable to have his operation last Monday as he had a very high temperature and a bad headache. It seems there is now an infection at the site of the first operation, so this will need to be stopped before further surgery can go ahead. Please pray for Denison’s recovery. His mother has now been allowed to stay at the hospital after the family complained about being sent away.

SPAIN

Jesús and Helen Ortiz advise that they will be having a church retreat at Almazán for five days from 28th June. This will be followed by the children’s and teens’ camp, which will go on till 8th July. John Speirs is the invited speaker. Please pray for God’s blessing on this time.
