David
and Esther Dexter (Miyakaki) -
Earthquake/Tsunami update - Two
months have now passed and the clear up
operation and ongoing relief work continues
as well as mental and health care needs.
CRASH and other organizations continue their
work, but need more volunteers to relieve
those who have been working so hard.
Pray
for Christian relief workers. Also it was
good to notice a news report in the paper
recently which said, “The U.N. committee on
atomic radiation said Monday it has seen no
ill effects on health because of radiation
released from the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear
plant.”
Matters for
praise:
1. There
has been an increase in church attendance by
those who normally would not go to church.
2. People
are being saved, including family members.
3. Churches
are working together in relief and
rebuilding.
Prayer
items:
1. Pray
for those involved in the Christian relief
work – all practical, emotional, mental,
spiritual areas.
2. Pray
for the many opportunities that Christians
are having to share their faith and express
God’s love practically.
3. Pray
for those who have become Christians that
they will be helped in their spiritual
growth.
4. For
help to those who are trying to control the
nuclear power plants; great wisdom for
people in positions of responsibility.
