Geoffrey
and Pat Atkinson (Mae Sariang) have
received news from
Chrestos
Mission that the Bible School at Mae
Lah refugee camp, in Thailand, has been
burnt to the ground along with Dr Simon’s
house (the Principal). This would have
included the large library, computer room
and all of Dr Simon’s and his wife’s
belongings. The Bible School has 300
students. Please remember this situation in
your prayers.
Echoes of Service have sent monies from its
Disaster Fund to help in the provision of
temporary shelter and food supplies.

Malcolm and
Hannah Coombes - The Orange assembly
Young People’s leaders have asked them
to give an informal talk to the Youth Group
on the subject, ‘What Islam is and what
Muslims believe’, and ‘How to reach them
with the Gospel’, on Saturday evening, May
5th. Hannah will be cooking a Middle
Eastern meal. Please pray for all those
attending and that Malcolm and Hannah would
be given wisdom as they speak.
Chris and
Michelle Hall (Laval) would value
prayer as they prepare for several
musical events. On
Saturday 5th
May Laval Church has an open day and
they are hoping to perform some of their
songs. Also a choir named Singlish, formed
earlier this year, and made up of about 15
members, many who are not attached to the
assembly, are preparing some material, which
is intended to provoke thought about faith
in God, and His intervention in people’s
lives. Pray
for the witness these opportunities will
provide.
Alison
Packer (Laval) is improving rapidly
and is putting on weight, although she is
still attached to an intravenous feed. She
has been able to go out for short walks and
is gradually increasing her food intake.
