Redcar GH:Missionary

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved. The prayer requests listed here are, as far as is sensibly practical, for activities that are happening on the particular week. REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

Terry and Jane Gilpin (Murchison) say they are looking forward to the Easter Conference which takes place this weekend. Paul Grieve is the main speaker and has a heavy schedule of meetings. Pray for a time of blessing and encouragement. Give thanks that a number of people are to be baptised on Saturday.

INDIA

Benji Daniel is currently in the north of India, visiting workers who are involved in a new ministry in Chandigarh. A special Easter programme is being planned in another town, and prayer would be appreciated as there is an anti-conversion law in place in this state.

JAPAN

David and Esther Dexter (Miyazaki) ask for prayer for their Easter service on 4th April, which will be mainly led by a musical family from Hiroshima.

PAKISTAN

Eunice Jones (Islamabad) is thankful that her father’s life was preserved by timely intervention following his cardiac arrest, and he has made a great recovery. She has been able to return to Pakistan, but would appreciate prayer for his steady recuperation back to full strength.

THAILAND

Peter Ferry (Phuket) asks for prayer as he visits Malaysia from 30th March. He will be speaking at an Easter Conference and has other meetings lined up. Pray too for Peggy, who will remain in Phuket as she finds travelling difficult with her health problems.

ARGENTINA

Bobby Jack (Buenos Aires) has special meetings arranged over Easter in Comodoto Rivadavia, which is 1500 km away from Buenos Aires. He is preparing a smaller set of Jerusalem models, which will be more portable than the normal ones. Pray for Bobby as he integrates the models completely with a PowerPoint presentation for the first time.

ALBANIA

Enris and Sylvia Nase (Tirana) request prayer for a special Easter outreach in Tirana being held from 2nd to 9th April, with a team from Northern Ireland. They will spend the mornings doing street evangelism among students, and hold children’s meetings in Fllake in the afternoons. Contacts made in Tirana will be invited to a special meeting on the Thursday evening.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Noel and Liza McMeekin plan to visit every home in Cootehill with an Easter message. Pray that they will have positive responses.

SPAIN

Ken and Alison Barrett (Madrid) ask prayer for open-air outreach in Madrid and Alcalá during Easter week. Pray particularly for an open-air Easter celebration on Sunday evening in Alcalá, involving several evangelical congregations. Permission for this has been granted by the City Council, but it is not known whether they will impose a tax on the activity, as happened three years ago.

LOCAL

Coffee & Chat on a Wednesday morning at 10:30 am. Please pray for the small number who come along.

The Gospel Service on Sunday 4th April is to be taken by Mike Oakes (Redcar). Please pray that God will help those who come along to understand their need of a Saviour.
