Prayer Requests for Week Commencing    25 - 07 - 2011

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.  The prayer requests listed here are, as far as is sensibly practical, for activities that are happening on the particular week. A list of previous weekly Missionary Prayer requests can be found here.

The Assembly also, most months, publishes a monthly Missionary Prayer Newsletter, for prayer requests on a longer time-scale. Click here for the last monthly prayer newsletter.

ZAMBIA

Barry & Rachel Haigh asks for prayer as they travel a 700 mile round trip on very dangerous roads, to Kitwe on Thursday 28th July to meet with our lawyer for a pre trial discussion in regards to the ownership of the Nyangombe Bible School and property. The trial will take place on 16th August at the High Court in Kitwe.

They are very busy in Zambia but loving it.

CANADA

Peter Smith continues at Roseisle till the end of the week with Tent Meetings for Children and Adults.

FRANCE

Alan and Valerie Kyle – Please continue to pray for the GLO team in Dunkerque until 30th July. Activities will include a five-day children’s holiday club, distribution of 10,000 tracts, street surveys, concerts in various locations and special outreach evenings. Pray that the Lord will go before and prepare hearts to receive His message.

IRELAND

Andrew Shanks (Newcastle West) and Colin Burnett (Canada) will be taking the ‘Ultimate Decision’ tent to County Waterford Thursday, 29th July, and prayer is asked that this will be another opportunity to sow the seed of the gospel and also to be a help to believers there.

NORWAY

Prayer for the families of those injured, physically, emotionally and spiritually in the deadly attacks on Friday 22nd, and for the rescue services and volunteers. Prayer is also asked that Christians will be a comfort to those around them, and will be given wisdom when listening to people expressing their fears.

Nat Rogers has been in contact with all the missionaries commended from the UK and Northern Ireland.  The up-to-date news is that none of them have been injured as a result of what has taken place in Oslo.

LOCAL

Coffee & Chat each Wednesday morning at 10:30 am.

David Reed (Sunderland) is expected to be with us for the Gospel Service next Sunday at 6:30 pm. Please remember in prayer.
