Prayer Requests for Week Commencing: 22- 10 - 12

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.  The prayer requests listed here are, as far as is sensibly practical, for activities that are happening on the particular week. A list of previous weekly Missionary Prayer requests can be found here.

The Assembly also, most months, publishes a monthly Missionary Prayer Newsletter, for prayer requests on a longer time-scale. Click here for the last monthly prayer newsletter.

BAHAMAS

Mark and Carol Lacey -Mark will be in Canada for 3 weeks commencing 26th October with a heavy schedule of meetings and many miles to cover.  Please pray for safety in travel and blessing during the meetings.  Pray for Carol as she will be staying in Nassau during Mark’s absence.

JAMAICA

Winston and Nurkle Litchmore (May Pen) will return to Jamaica on Monday 29th October after several hospital appointments. Give thanks that Nurkle’s MRI scan, taken in September, showed a good result. Pray for safety in travel as they return to Jamaica, and that they would continue to experience good health.

PERU

Luis and Ann-laure Mostacero (Trujillo) ask prayer for Danny Crookes, arriving from Northern Ireland 23rd October for 2 weeks, to teach at the Bible Institute, at a GLO annual retreat, and a conference for national workers.  Prayer is asked that the Lord will use him during his time in Peru, and that listeners will be challenged and encouraged in their Service.

FRANCE

Chris and Michelle Hall (Chateau Gontier) will be holding a Gospel Stand at the Euromayenne Craft Fayre on 28th October. Pray that many will be interested in receiving the gospel literature and Christian novels that will be available.

Alain and Christine Monclair – The assembly at Quimper has been disheartened due to small numbers. Pray that the members would be encouraged. On Sunday 28th there will be a distribution of tracts in one of the nearby villages. Prayer is asked that the Lord will give fruit from this sowing of His Word.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

David and Kay Stevens (CastleConnel) would appreciate prayer for the Munster Christian Camp in Bandon, Co. Cork 26-29th October, where they expect approximately sixty 9-12 year-olds to attend.

Noel and Liza McMeekin (Drum) ask prayer for the annual Family Service being held on Sunday 28th October.  This is usually well attended by children from their Children's Meeting and their parents.

Liza has been the local representative for Team Hope for a number of years now. Team Hope are a registered charity in the Republic of Ireland and each year organize a Christmas Shoebox collection for underprivileged children in other parts of the world. Pray for her as she visits many schools and community groups for this purpose, bringing also the opportunity to build bridges for the Gospel. In addition they ask continuing prayer for Cootehill locality as they distribute 4You gospel magazines to homes.

LOCAL
