Prayer Requests for Week Commencing   19- 09 - 2011

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.  The prayer requests listed here are, as far as is sensibly practical, for activities that are happening on the particular week. A list of previous weekly Missionary Prayer requests can be found here.

The Assembly also, most months, publishes a monthly Missionary Prayer Newsletter, for prayer requests on a longer time-scale. Click here for the last monthly prayer newsletter.

ANGOLA

Ruth Hadley (Saurimo) asks prayer for Lenguela and his wife. She has been unwell recently and today (14-09-11) went into hospital.  It would seem that she is suffering from malaria. This could be a major problem if anything happens, so please pray.

ZIMBABWE

Derek Jones (Harare) – On 25th September a baptismal service is taking place at Mhangura. Prayer would be valued for this small assembly 200kms north of Harare.

INDIA

Ian and Anita Elliott (Delhi) – continuing prayer is asked in respect of the ongoing discussions in Mrinalini’s application for a student loan. Ian is due to travel to the UK later this week and will be accompanying Mrinalini to Middlesbrough, where she will be studying. Please pray for safety of travel. In addition both Ian and Anita have been unwell recently so would value prayer for a return to good health.

CANADA

Peter Smith’s daughter Leanne gave birth last week to Ezra Stephen, 7lb 3oz. Everything went well. Congratulations to Leanne & Steve.

Peter  asks for prayer as he prepares for the next Treasure Seekers at Mitchell on the 26th Sept.

FRANCE

Colin and Maureen Crow (Montpellier) - Colin is preparing for a ten day visit to Madagascar from 23rd September onwards.  During his time there he will have meetings with the national committee of the CEIM churches, and with the Bible School committee. He will visit the orphanage which is in close proximity to the Bible School, discussing further development of their buildings and the contact between sponsors and the children(25 of the 32 children are now sponsored).

SPAIN

Ken and Alison Barrett (Madrid) ask prayer for the Men’s Outreach weekend 23rd-25th September, in Galicia (west coast of Spain), organised by the church in Marin.

LOCAL

Coffee & Chat each Wednesday morning at 10:30 am.

Rachel Barber is to be baptised (D.V.) next Saturday evening at 7:00 pm at Bethesda Gospel Hall, Hartlepool.

Andrew Lumsden is responsible for taking the Gospel Service next Sunday at 6:30 pm.
