for the believers at
Luma Cassai,
where one of the elders was recently killed
by the village chief. The son of the man who
was killed is the main nurse in the clinic,
and he is finding it difficult to stay in
the village. The other elders have also been
threatened.
Pray
that the believers will stay strong and not
flee to the neighbouring cities of
Luena
or
Saurimo.
MALAWI
Jonathan Newell (Blantyre)
plans to visit Australia from
18th to 31st August,
at the invitation of a church which supports
the
Challenge
newspaper. He will have many speaking
engagements during this time and would value
prayer.
MOZAMBIQUE
Pray
for Zambian workers
Patrick and Grace Mulenga,
who have to renew their work permits before
the end of August.
INDIA
Benji Daniel
will be
visiting the north of
India
from
20th August to 18th September.
Pray
for him as he gives teaching and seeks to
strengthen the churches.
Gill
has now returned to Canada.
Pray
for them during this time apart and remember
Gill as
she cares for her elderly parents. Her 90
year-old father is due to have an operation
soon.
PAKISTAN
Yunis Lal Din,
administrator at the Women’s Christian
Hospital in
Multan,
reports that they are treating flood victims
at the hospital. There are 22 relief camps
around Multan, with about 7,000 displaced
people, and there are also many victims
staying with friends or relatives.
Pray
for Yunis and the staff as they try to help
in this desperate situation.
CANADA
Peter Smith
continues with Tent Meetings for children
this week in
Roseisle (Mannitoba).
Nearly 1500 homes have been mailed details
of both the Treasure Seekers and adult
Gospel Meetings, so please
pray
for a
favourable response from the community. They
are particularly hoping that some ex-Hutterite
families who live nearby will join them.
ITALY
Peter Hedley
will be in Italy during the second half of
this month. During his visit, an assembly in
Turin
which he helped to plant will celebrate its
40th anniversary.
Pray
for this fellowship as they consider another
church plant in the future.
GLO

that the team members will be kept in good
health and be effective in their witness.

camp is being held in N. Yorkshire this
week. Though this will be their smallest
ever, with just 27 campers, please

that God will richly bless each one
attending, and that His Word will bear much
fruit for His glory.
