pray for
Jonathan and Ruth Singleton,
who are visiting Angola until 7th
August to help Ruth Hadley

school at Camundambala. A
team of seven people from Scotland are also helping out till the
7th.
DEM. REP.
OF CONGO
Mary Ratter (Katoka) requests
prayer for the women’s conference being held at
Dilolo Post from 3rd to 6th August.

is the speaker, so pray for her as she finalises her messages and

in Kenya during the period leading up to the referendum on a new

prayer for the Madagascar GLO
team from 1st to 18th August.
Pray especially for the
safety and protection of the 25 team members.
RWANDA
Pray
for Peter Andrews (Kigali)
who is crossing the border into Eastern Congo to visit churches in
Bukavu and
Uvira. This is the first time
he has visited Uvira, which
is close to the Burundi capital, Bujumbura. He will be accompanied
by Israel, a church leader
from Goma. There is real
potential for God to do a great work in these days following the
recent turbulent years in Congo.
Pray, too, for the elections taking place on
9th August. Elections can be
a time of great tension in this area of the world.
TANZANIA
Stephen
and Gill Davies ask for prayer for the assembly during their
three-month furlough. Numbers have been depleted lately, so pray
that the Lord will bless the work and give help to those leading the
group in their absence.
CAMBODIA
Jonathan
Edwards, commended from Stockton, is working with children in
Phnom Penh until the
25th August.
Pray for him as he adjusts to
a new culture. He is giving a regular update on http://jonnycambodia.blogspot.com/.
He writes:
“The children from Safe Haven were doing a
performance of Noah's Ark, and the most amazing part was at the end
they all sang the song 'Happy Day'. It was just incredible to see
these children who have been through stuff in their life which I
never want to even imagine, they have been raped and abused over and
over again, they have been used as meat for men and women to
pleasure themselves, they have been constantly beaten up, they have
been forced to work with the money going to someone else. However,
they have been rescued and have experienced the amazing love of God
and here they are praising God and singing about how He has changed
their lives. They have gone from lives of misery, pain and abuse to
lives of love and joy. I was in tears as they sang! It is amazing to
see this yet there are thousands of others who it is still happening
to and we need to be praying for God's intervention!”

“The Cambodian Church” in Augusts' Echoes Magazine.
CANADA
Peter
Smith has a busy August with three consecutive series of Tent
Meetings.
In Portage
la Prairie we are having morning children's meetings.
Aug. 2nd - 6th near our hall
and then from Aug. 9th - 13th
near 5th Avenue's hall. Please specifically
pray that
at the first the children we made contact with this past winter will
return and that many parents will also be present at ALL these
Treasure Seeker series. The final series is in fellowship with the
assembly in Roseisle. We are
burdened for a group of ex-Hutterites who live nearby, so please
pray that
they will attend. If interest is good we will extend the adult
meetings accordingly. On Sat. 21st
Aug. God willing, we are planning to hold another
PBS Summer Get-Together in
the tent. Please
pray for good weather, good numbers and a good time around
the Scriptures. Again we are hoping some Hutterites families will
join us as last year. As the Good Seed is sown and these outreaches
take place please also
pray for the tent's security and for God's richest blessing
upon all we come into contact with.
PBS
have now reached 1800 students for the first time! What potential
for God! Do please
pray with
us that the students will remain consistent in their studies over
the summer period.

give teaching and help to many people who are struggling
spiritually.
