REPUBLIC OF
SOUTH AFRICA
Terry
Gilpin (Murchison) asks us to
pray
for
Zephaniah, one of the senior
evangelists, whose house has been completely
destroyed in a fire.
Praise
God that no one was injured, but he and his
wife have lost all their possessions.
Pray
for the family as they come to terms with
their situation. The day before the fire had
been a joyful occasion, as
Zephaniah’s
eldest daughter was married from that very
house.
ETHNIC
MINORITIES
John Hanley
(Auchlochan) would value
prayer
as he visits East Africa from
19th
September to 7th October, at the
invitation of Congolese believers. He will
spend the first week in
Tanzania,
where he plans to visit the last remaining
Congolese refugee camp to give Bible
teaching and practical help. The second week
will be spent in
Burundi
and in the South Kivu region of Congo.
During this time he will attend the Bible
school graduation, as well as giving
conference ministry and Bible teaching.
Pray
that he will have the needed health and
strength.
PAKISTAN
Ann Hughes
(Wallasey) is planning to make a
further visit to Pakistan from
18th
September till 23rd October. She will
visit Multan
first, before moving on to
Mumtazabad,
where she will attend women’s and children’s
rallies. In October she plans to visit
Kunhar
Christian Hospital, travelling by car
with Liz
Greig.
Pray
for safety in travel, for good health and
for a time of mutual encouragement.
Liz Greig (Ghari
Habibullah) (right)
has informed us that 12 staff
members at
Kunhar Christian Hospital were
baptised on 23rd August. They are all young
people from the Punjab with a Christian
background.
Pray that they will continue to walk
faithfully with the Lord.

has had to delay his return to the
Bahamas as he is unwell. He hopes to be well
enough to travel on
Sunday 20th.
Carol will follow a week later.

is this week in
Charlottetown (Labrador) for a week
of Children’s Meetings. It is his first

Please especially
pray for suitable weather, for good
interest among parents too, and that the
Lord will give much help and freshness in
presenting His truth to these young souls.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Andrew and
Gillian Shanks (Newcastle West)
started this week regular children’s
meetings on a Tuesday, following the summer
break. Pray
not only that the same children will come
back again, but also that there will be new
ones coming along.
Andrew
and Gillian
are also starting a new youth group on
Friday evenings, aimed at 12-16 year-olds.
This outreach will be called
EDGE,
which stands for
Experience
and Discover God Everyday.
Pray
for the young people who will attend and
also that there will be enough helpers.

prayer
for cultural activities taking place from

pray
for a positive witness among the British and
Spanish participants at these activities.
