ANGOLA
Please remember
Brian Howden,
presently visiting Angola. He has recently
been unwell with suspected typhoid and is
being treated with antibiotics. While
driving to
Luanda his vehicle overturned and was
very badly damaged. Thankfully no one was
seriously injured but they had to return to
Saurimo
with the damaged vehicle.
Pray
for Brian
as he recovers, for safety for
Jonathan
Singleton and Stephen Richardson
who has to travel by road from
Luanda
to Saurimo,
and that
Brian will be sufficiently recovered
to travel back to the UK on
23rd
February.
Late News
(17-02-2011):
Brian needs to get home now as quickly as
possible and his flight therefore has been
changed so that he leaves Luanda on Saturday
night and arrives in London early Sunday
morning (20th Feb).
TANZANIA
Steve and
Gill Davies (Dar-es-Salaam)- Low
water levels in the hydro-electric dams and
problems with gas-fired generators have
reduced Tanzania to power rationing. Please
pray
about this matter.
The new children
at WWT (day care centre) are settling well.
Some of the children who left WWT at the end
of last year have been able to go to primary
school, many needing assistance with birth
certificates, uniform and writing materials
etc. Prayer
is asked for these children and for the
impressions left on them by WWT.
Prayer
is also asked for a Water Filter Seminar to
be held on Saturday (19th Feb) for the new
parents and other interested folk from the
village. It is another opportunity to
present the gospel.
JAPAN
Ken and
Christine Cowell – Ken have a
Japanese meeting at
Milton
Keynes next Sunday, February 20th.
Last month there were at least four non
Christians and they are showing much
interest. One lady is believing but is
hesitant about baptism. Please
pray
that the Lord will give victory in this
situation.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Noel and
Liza McMeekin- continue the Postal
Bible Prizegivings this week at
Cavan(14th)
Monaghan(15th
and 16th)
Cootehill (17th
and Dublin-Ranelagh (18th).
Please
pray
for good attendances at each venue and that
lives will be touched by the gospel. In
addition please
pray
that they will enjoy safety of travel.

court case has been adjourned
again until 28th Feb.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett- Madrid city centre
open air ministry has moved premises and
prayer
is asked for the daily teams, that as they
settle into new routines, they will not be
distracted from
prayer
and evangelism.
OTHER NEWS
Dr Ian
Burness (Echoes) had a mild heart
attack on Tuesday morning. He is now in the
Bristol Royal Infirmary, has undergone
various tests and a large clot has been
removed.
