MISSIONARY PRAYER NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2011

ANGOLA

Brian Howden has returned safely from his visit in December to Angola. He was able to submit his request for renewal of residency and now has the all important receipt with which he can travel in and out of the country until the renewal is granted. Please continue to pray that residency will be renewed promptly.

God willing he plans to return to Angola on Tuesday 25th January for a further 3 week visit, with a view to revisiting the assemblies in Lubalo, Camaxilo and Caungula and for the first time visiting the assemblies in the Muvuleje area.

He would appreciate our prayers too for a 20 ft Medical Missionary News container that has much needed medicines and literature in. Please pray that despite the increasing red tape that it will soon be allowed through customs with the minimum of cost.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC of CONGO

Mary Ratter (Katoka) asks for prayer support for the following:

The Katoka Church to be strong and vibrant trusting in the Lord alone.

2.

The young people to have a genuine faith and to see God working.

3.

Sandy Meikle as she returns in  January (DV) from New Zealand and for her family as she leaves again.

4.

A proposed Presidential visit to see the work done at Katoka. Pray that we might be able to share the reason for our faith. No date is known.

FRANCE

Graham & Alison Black (Bouc Bel Air) report that in 2011 the big challenge still to be faced is that of finding another technician for the work as the present one has been there since 1968 and should have already retired! This is a major part of the work and they need someone who will be supported in a missionary capacity and who obviously has technical knowledge of radio studio recording. At the moment two people are showing an interest. The main problem they face is that of financial support and this is proving to be very difficult.

Please continue to pray about this situation.

IRELAND

Noel McMeekin (Drum) would value prayer support for five gospel messages which will go out on the radio in January. They will be broadcast each Sunday at 2 pm and repeated on Thursdays at 3 pm. The radio station, Radio Star Country, covers 14 counties of Ireland.
