Prayer Requests for Week Commencing 08-03-2010

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved.  The prayer requests listed here are, as far as is sensibly practical, for activities that are happening on the particular week. A list of previous weekly Missionary Prayer requests can be found here.

The Assembly also, most months, publishes a monthly Missionary Prayer Newsletter, for prayer requests on a longer time-scale. Click here for the last month's prayer newsletter.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Please pray for Noel and Liza McMeekin as they continue with the Postal Bible School prize - givings. This week they will be in Port Loaise, Cloughjordan and Tullow on Friday, and in Enniscorthy and Waterford on Saturday. On Monday 15th they are at Adare in the morning and Limerick in the evening. Pray for safety in travel and that the Lord will speak to the parents and children on these occasions.

Andrew and Lorna Burt (Enniscorthy) are holding their bi-annual ‘Beautiful Women’s Night’ on 11th March. This outreach usually attracts up to 80 women from the local community. Pray that God will use the event to impact the lives of many who come along. At the end of this month, a seminar on friendship evangelism is planned, with Sammy Gibson as the speaker. Pray that this will equip the church to share the gospel with many more people.

SPAIN

Ken and Alison Barrett (Madrid) request prayer for the annual public Bible Reading in Alcala de Henares, which is planned to take place this Saturday, 13th March. This is organised jointly by the evangelical churches and is often opposed by the local council. Pray for good weather and that the Word of God will have an impact in this city.

LOCAL

Coffee & Chat on a Wednesday morning at 10:30 am. Please pray  for the small number who come along.

The Gospel Service on Sunday 14th March is to be taken by Philip Kaye (Skelmanthorpe). Please pray that God will help those who come along to understand their need of a Saviour.
