ANGOLA
Ruth Hadley
(Saurimo) is recovering well from the
random attack on her by a mentally ill man
outside her home. Bruising to her arms is
the only physical result but mentally such a
thing leaves its scars. Satan is trying each
and every way to disrupt the work of the
Lord and our
prayer fellowship is greatly needed.
ZAMBIA
Barry &
Rachel Haigh return to Zambia this
Friday
(11-06-10) for 4 months teaching, preaching
and counselling.
Pray
that they will be kept in good health, and
free from malaria, etc.
ARGENTINA
Jim and
Betty Burnett (Parana) are returning
to the UK on
23rd June.
Pray
for Jim
as he prepares four articles in advance for
the assembly magazine, to cover the months
he will be absent.
Pray
also for the recording of the television
programmes, which has now started.
BOLIVIA
Ken &
Claudia Holt (Trinidad-Beni) returned
to Bolivia last Monday after 6 months
furlough in Scotland. They would appreciate
our prayers
as they seek to be faithful to this call
and, with God’s strength and wisdom, apply
the changes that are required.
COLOMBIA
Kathleen and
Anita Keith-Gillon (Armenia)
request
prayer for a group of women who will
be following the ‘Freedom
From Bitterness’ studies on Wednesday
mornings for the next few weeks.
Prayer
is also requested for students taking a
Missions class at the Bible Institute on
Wednesday evenings.
FRANCE
Dr Briand
Tatford would value
prayer
on 13th June
when he has been asked to give the
message at the united assembly worship
service in Paris. This is usually attended
by about 500 people.
Graham &
Alison Black (Bouc Bel Air) are very
happy to report that “Gladys”
continues to make progress health wise and
has been involved in outreach efforts
recently both in her home church and
elsewhere. Please continue to remember
her in
prayer.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Colin and
Rosemary Sheldon (Dublin) have a
special summer ladies’ outreach on
9th June
and also a men’s evening on
11th June.
Pray
that many will attend these special evenings
and be blessed. The assembly is currently
involved in distributing 2,500 gospel
magazines around the area.
Pray
for contacts to be made through this work.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett Madrid) request
prayer
for the Madrid assemblies’ annual outing on
12th June.
Non-Christian contacts will be invited, so
pray
that they will be touched by the preaching
and the testimonies to be given.
LOCAL
Coffee
& Chat each Wednesday morning at 10:30
am.
Paul Malcolm
(N. Shields) is planned to be with us
for the Gospel Service on
Sunday
at 6:30 pm.
The visits to
Yew Tree
Care Centre last Sunday made a
promising start. Only 5 residents plus a
male Carer attended, but as they were able
they joined in the hymn singing, and
listened to the message. The next visit is
planned (D.V.) for the
6th July.
