MALAWI
Stephen and
Gail Harper (Thondwe) would value
prayer
for guidance as they prepare for returning
to Northern Ireland for an extended furlough
to prepare their son
Philip
for the next stage of his education. At
present they are vacating the premises of
the book/coffee shop in
Zomba
but unfortunately there is no one as yet to
continue the work.
Prayer
is asked for the future of this work after
they have left, and for the many contacts
that they have been supporting.
REPUBLIC OF
SOUTH AFRICA
Rodney and
Joy Brown (Cape Town) -
Rodney
with Mark
Bonnell, commended from Canada, are
holding Gospel meetings this week in
Mambia.
Prayer is asked for safety of travel
and blessing in the preaching.
TANZANIA
Steve and
Gill Davies (Dar-es-Salaam) - Due to
failing rains the country’s combined
generating capacity is presently only at 67%
of requirements.
Prayer
is asked for this situation. They have about
45 children in their
Day Care
Centre, and over 100 attending their
Kid’s Club.
Ron and
Maria Cunningham – Ron and local
evangelist
Ombeni, visited the
director in
Moshi
to request the possibility of
Emmaus Bible courses being announced
over the Radio Network. The director was

INDIA
Ian and
Anita Elliott (Delhi) would
appreciate
prayer for
Hebron School and for their three
children who board there. The school needs
to find suitable replacements for the
principal and vice principal who are
leaving.
Anita will soon be visiting there for
parent’s week and will return with the
children for term holiday. During her time
at Hebron
there are important issues to consider such
as
Mrinalini’s plans for university and
Ijaaz’s
final choice for A levels. Also
Mridvika
needs to get her residential permit updated.
Prayer
is also asked for their extended family
Santosh,
Kiran
and Susheela
whose father died recently.
JAPAN
David and
Esther Dexter (Miyazaki)–
David
has another prison visit on 8th
April.
Prayer is asked for health and
strength to be clear minded, as
Al,
who normally shares the teaching with
David
is away.
Ronnie
and Ann
Cairns (Akashi) write to say that
they will be having an “Open
Church” for the neighbourhood, which
will be followed on the
10th
April with a lecture on the theme, “Security
when all is giving way.”
Prayer
would be appreciated for this.
THAILAND
David
and Maureen Wood (Chang Mai) ask for
continuing
prayer for the staffing needs at
Grace School
as there are still many vacancies for
the next school year.
BRAZIL
James and
Jenny Crawford - Radio programmes are
still maintained in two different states. In
Manaus
however they have not been able to get time
on the radio, but the brethren have a public
address system above the hall which they
have used to relay a 30 minute programme
three times a week. As a result some
visitors have been coming to the meetings.
Prayer
is asked for the radio work and that as a
result souls may be saved.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Noel and
Liza McMeekin - continue the Postal
Bible Prizegivings this week at Fermoy and
Mallow (4th) Cobh (5th)
Gorey (6th) Carrigaline (7th)
Midleton (8th) Clonakilty (9th).
David
Stevens (Castleconnel) will be
preaching 7th
April and would value
prayer.
In addition, please
pray
that they will enjoy safety of travel as
they visit various venues over the coming
weeks.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) give thanks
that certain evangelical churches in
Alcala
have raised sufficient funds to subsidise an
evangelical book stand this month
7th-17th
April. Please
pray
for those involved in the event, the
volunteers meeting the public, and those who
will show interest.
