MISSIONARY PRAYER NEWSLETTER MARCH 2011

MALAWI

Jonathan and Ruth Newell (Blantyre) ask prayer for the safe arrival of the Challenge Newspaper from South Africa, where it is printed, so that they can distribute it effectively in Malawi.

REP. OF SOUTH AFRICA
Robert and Anne Smith (Cape Town)
report that it is no longer possible for them to continue the work at the Evangelical Mission Press.

Robert continues to distribute the On-Line Bible for southern Africa and is looking forward to being able to devote more time to this work. They would appreciate prayer regarding their future.

CANADA

Peter Smith reports answered prayer as he reconsidered his programme for 2011. He is conscious that he is away from home a lot, at a time when the Postal Bible School work is increasing. He is however planning to attend a PBS International Conference in N. Ireland in the week after Easter.

BOLIVIA

Mario and Helen Ponce (Cochabamba) request prayer for their prison ministry. Fumiko, a widow with a family of 10, has been released from prison but has to ‘sign in’ at the prison each day. Fumiko is pleased that Mario and Helen can be a support to her at this time and needs prayer as she attends court appearances.

Kenny and Claudia Holt (Trinidad) - Claudia’s work in the local school for the deaf is planned to start again at the beginning of March. They were greatly encouraged by the opportunities that she had to reach out last year through the Bible teaching classes, and arts & crafts and the hope is to build on this work in the coming weeks and months. Kenny would value prayer as he prepares and teaches the next six Bible Studies in Genesis on Thursday nights.

FRANCE

Graham and Alison Black (Bouc-Bel-Air) - The prisoner that they were assisting has been released and a job and lodgings has been found for him in the south-west area of France. He is continuing with the correspondence courses and keeps in touch with Graham and Alison. Continued prayer is asked for him, that the Lord will enable him to persevere and grow in the Christian faith.

Ian and Francoise Newberry (Pierrelatte) ask prayer for Thomas, a young man planning to be married, who has requested a personal Bible study on a regular basis.

IRELAND

John and Linda Stanfield (Limerick) – A young man recently attended their family service and intends coming back and bringing his parents and some friends with him! Prayer is asked that further opportunities would come from this.

ITALY

Giuseppe and Rachel Palermo (Milan) Rachel has had new opportunities witnessing to Mums recently. Some have been asking ‘spiritual questions’. Prayer is asked that God would continue to prompt them and that they would respond to outreach events.

ETHNIC MINORITIES
Ruth Cushing
would value prayer for her many contacts that are facing severe problems in their lives. Prayer would be valued for Ruth as she comes along side these people and also for those who are suffering.
Continuing prayer is asked for the Toxteth Women’s Centre as there is urgent need for alternative accommodation, staffing, and other related problems at the centre.
