Esther Dexter – David would value

for his forthcoming visits to the local
prison 4th
October and 18th
October.
He will be teaching the Word of God and we
are asked to
pray that the prisoners will respond
to what they hear.
THAILAND
Geoff
and Pat Atkinson (Mae Sariang)— Prayer
is asked for 11 orphans (ages 9-11), in
Laos,
facing trials from the principal of the
school who is trying to make them renounce
their faith, and stop them going to church.
Seven children have said they will not go,
but have not yet renounced their faith. Four
are standing strong.
In addition
pray
for the
Chrestos work, in particular
publishing the new Karen/English version of
the New Testament with headings, reference,
notes, a glossary and maps and the
production of an evangelistic film in Karen.
FRANCE
Mike and
Alison Packer –
Alison
will be in hospital from 4-6th
having tests, and would appreciate
prayer.
On 7th
October there is an outreach in
Laval
named ‘Is
Science incompatible with faith in God?’
Please remember in
prayer.
Allan and
Anne Kitt (Villefranche-sur-Saone)
would value
prayer for a meeting to be held on
October 4th
regarding the Christian Bookshop in
Le Havre.
There has been a considerable drop in sales.
Prayer
is asked for the decisions that will need to
be made regarding the bookshop’s future.
VARIOUS
AREAS
Mike and Ros
Buckley will be travelling to
Hamburg
on October 7th
for a 10day visit, and are due to undertake
various speaking engagements.
LOCAL
Coffee
& Chat each Wednesday morning at
10:30 am.
Keith
Bullock, who serves with the
Open Air
Mission, will be with us on Sunday
evening for the preaching of the Gospel at
6:30 pm.
Next week
Keith
is based in
Sunderland, but will also be visiting
Middlesbrough on the Wednesday and
Thursday at 12:30 pm for an Open Air
outreach.
