October to help with the practical

Ruth Cushing
who will be travelling with him for a 6 week
visit. Ruth
Cushing served for many years in
Pakistan and now works with Muslims in the
UK.
PAKISTAN
Please continue to
remember Liz
Grieg (DPG 1981-2011) and
Ann Hughes (DPG
1969-1996) who are currently visiting
Pakistan. The
Bethel
Roshani Nursery School opened last
year, where approximately 50 children from
the poorer Christian families attend. Please
pray
for the workers and the children who attend
the nursery.
Ann and
Liz
will be making a second visit to the school
with toys and Bibles.
Pray
for good health and that they would be
encouraged and be an encouragement to the
believers. They return to UK
25th
October.
FRANCE
Mike and
Alison Packer (Laval)–
Alison
has had a relapse of the illness she
suffered for a long time.
Pray
that the high dose of antibiotics she is
taking will give her a quick recovery and
that the infection would not return.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
John and
Linda Stanfield (Limerick) – During
this year,
John, along with others are seeking
to distribute 15,000 gospel magazines (4You)
around
Limerick. They have already received
48 reply coupons, requesting Bible and
literature. They ask
prayer
that the Lord will use this literature, and
that through His Word He will save and
transform lives. Due to the number of
responses they hope to start a
Christianity Explored course on
4th
October.
Pray
that many would attend.
Andrew and
Gillian Shanks (Newcastle West) - Andy
reports on the Gospel stand at the
Ploughing
Championships in New Ross, Co
Wexford: 34 believers from all over Ireland
and one brother from Wales helped at the
stand and during the three days 187,000
people attended the show. Almost all the
literature and gospel CDs were given away
and there were many good conversations with
people from all over the country, and about
60 Bibles were distributed. Please
pray
for those who received the literature,
Bibles and CDs, that they will read, listen
and be challenged by the content.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) – would
appreciate
prayer for a sketch-board preaching
workshop that he is staging in conjunction
with an open air preaching conference in
Madrid on 6th
October. In addition, please
pray
for Alison
as she meets with several groups for
‘English Conversation’.
LOCAL
"Coffee
and Chat" - an informal meeting, on a
Wednesday morning at 10:30 am.
The monthly visit
to Yew Tree
Care Centre is planned for this
Sunday at 5:15 pm. Please remember in
prayer.
Keith
Bullock of the
Open Air
Mission is planned to be with us on
Sunday
evening for the preaching of the
Gospel at 6:30 pm.
