JAPAN
David
and Esther Dexter (Miyazaki) have
been encouraged to see new folk coming to
the Sunday meetings in their home. They have
now been holding church activities in their
home for three years and would like to have
a building, but this does not seem feasible
at present.
Pray that the Lord will guide them in
this.
BRAZIL
Jeff and
Denise Watson
(Foz) would value
prayer
for their contacts.
Denise
has made friends with some women in the
block where they live and has taken the
opportunity to share her faith. Please
pray
in particular for
Christianne,
who shows interest in spiritual things. Two
of Denise’s music students,
Mateus
and Everton,
are studying the course “What
the Bible Teaches”. Please
pray
for their salvation.
FRANCE
Margaret
Davis (Caen) (left) is
currently in the UK and plans to return to
France on
8th September. However, she has had
problems with water leaking in her flat and
the bathroom ceiling has collapsed. Please
remember her in
prayer
as she copes with these difficulties.
Mrs Danielle
Gilbert writes that baptisms are
being held in the sea at
Concarneau.
Those being baptised include her daughter
Delphine.
Please pray
for this public witness, for those invited
and those looking on, that they will be
touched by the Lord.
Pray
that
Delphine will continue to grow strong
in her faith.
Loic Packer,
the 16 year-old son of
Mike and
Alison Packer (Laval), sustained an
injury playing football recently. When he
was travelling to the UK his symptoms
worsened and he was taken immediately to
Margate Hospital. He has had surgery to
remove his spleen, which seems to have been
successful.
Praise God that he is doing well and
should be discharged this week.
Pray
that he will soon return to good health.
SPAIN
Ken Barrett
(Madrid) is suffering from muscular
contractions in his back, making it
difficult for him to walk or stand upright.
He has various engagements lined up for this
week. Ken
mentions that he has had some interesting
correspondence with an atheistic
anthropologist at the university.
Pray
that he will have further opportunities to
witness to this man, and remember also the
work with international students, which
recommences this week.
