On British TV there is a very popular quiz
show called "Who wants
to be a millionaire?". It offers very large cash prizes (up to
one million pounds) for correctly answering successive
multiple choice questions of increasing difficulty; the
emphasis is on suspense rather than speed.
In the game the contestant is given a
question followed by 4 possible answers, from which he has to select
the one he judges to be the correct answer. If he is correct he wins
a cash prize (although it is possible to lose it), and moves on to
