Marjorie Beckwith is returning to
Canada on
1st August after 50 years’ service in
Angola. Please
pray
for her as she faces this major change.
Remember also
Ruth Hadley
(Saurimo) and other workers who will
be taking up some of her responsibilities,
that they will be given help and wisdom in
this. Sadly, a number of
Marjorie’s
ministries will cease as there are not
enough workers to continue them.
ZAMBIA
Jean-Luc and
Rita Hainaut (Eliya) have advised
Echoes that
Rita’s father went to be with the
Lord on
Monday 20th July. Please
pray
that the Lord will comfort
Rita,
who lost her mother earlier this year. She
was able to see her father before he died.
Joan Hoyte
returned to the UK from Zambia on
28th July and will be moving into a care
home as her health has deteriorated. Pray
for her as she settles into a different
lifestyle.
JAPAN
Please
pray
for Charles
Lawrence (Fukishima), who will be
going into hospital for tests on
3rd August.
THAILAND
David and
Maureen Wood (Chiang Mai) are
returning to Thailand this week after a
short break in Scotland. They ask us to
pray
for visas for new staff members arriving in
August at
Grace International School, and also
for all the staff as they begin a new school
year.
ITALY
Giuseppe and
Rachel Palermo Milan) were woken up
last Monday night by the sound of thieves
attempting to get into their apartment. Give
thanks that the Lord protected them and they
were able to scare the men off before they
got inside.
Pray for
Giuseppe
and Rachel,
as they are now finding it difficult to
sleep.
SPAIN
Jesus and
Helen Ortiz (Soria) ask us to
pray
for three
Saturdays in
August, 1st,
15th and 22nd, when they will be
showing gospel films in the park near their
assembly, and also in the open air near to
their home in the evenings. They are
inviting friends and neighbours, so
pray
that many of these will attend and also show
interest in coming to the Sunday services.
FINALLY
Please
pray
for the GLO
teams working in
Orbiston,
Scotland, from
31st July to
9th August and in
Enniscorthy,
Republic of Ireland, from
1st to 15th
August. A team will also be visiting
Southern Poland during August.
Pray
that the team members will be kept in good
health, work well together and be effective
in their witness.
