INDIA
A gospel team was
arrested in West Bengal, India on 15th March
2012 at Burnpur, near Asansol, while
conducting open-air preaching in a village
where they had conducted a baptism service
the previous week. During preaching
villagers called the police and the team was
arrested. Apparently some did not like the
baptism service and they were looking for a
chance for revenge. Six brethren are under
arrest—4 full-time evangelists and 2 poor
believers; they have been remanded until
30th March.
Please

for God’s intervention in the legal
proceedings being brought against these
brothers.
Pray for their families, many of whom
are poor.
BRAZIL
Pray for a weekend
children’s programme being organised by
Denise
Watson and
Mary Stewart
in the afternoons of
Friday 30th
March-Sunday 1st April. Pray, too,
for Jeff
Watson,
who travelled to Brasilia on 26th March to
discuss plans for prospective work amongst
addicts, returning on 29th.
FRANCE
Remember
Alison
Packer (Laval) in
prayer
following surgery on Tuesday 27th March.
Pray
that the operation will be successful, and
that she will not suffer post-op
complications as she has on previous
occasions.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
David
Stevens would value prayer as he
speaks at Abbeyleix on 29th March, followed
by four speaking engagements at the Junior
Munster Christian Camp in Bandon, Co. Cork,
30th March-2nd April.
Noel and
Liza McMeekin continue the Postal
Bible School prizegivings at Dublin-Howth
(28th), and Clane and Abbeyleix (29th). Pray
that they will enjoy safety of travel as
they visit various venues over the coming
weeks.
NORWAY
After a
three-month break,
Margaret
Hewitt was encouraged to see 13
children and 4 adults last Sunday; 11
children were absent. Give thanks that,
health-wise,
Margaret seems to be on the mend.
PORTUGAL
Colin and
Grace Lovell (Retired, Portugal) left
for a ten-day visit to Portugal on Tuesday
27th March for the 20th anniversary
celebrations of
Aguas Vivas church in
Albarraque.
Grace
will also be meeting with the Lydia prayer
team leaders.
Pray
for safety in travel and that they will be
blessed and be a blessing as they meet with
friends old and new.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) - Give thanks
for an initial enthusiastic take-up of the
films about
Muller and
Groves, released in Spanish last
week. Please
pray for Spain as a country, as a
general strike is planned for Thursday 29th.

as he leads the third ‘
Learning to Lead’
class, entitled ‘Managing
Change’, on
Saturday
31st.
