DEMOCRATIC
REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Short-term worker
Jean
Sharman-Golder arrived safely home on
the 12th January. Thank God for travelling
mercies.
ZAMBIA
Timothy and
Joy Beer (Loloma) request
prayer
for God’s blessing on the gospel outreaches
held on
Mondays in the area around
Loloma
and for the strengthening of the many
assemblies in the
Loloma
area. Pray,
too, for Joy
as she home-schools their children David
and Daniel.
Helen
Hindson (short-term worker now
convalescing in N. Ireland) would covet
prayer
for herself and her
Kalene
Hospital friends.
She asks
prayer
particularly for the
African
driver
of the vehicle they were travelling
in who sustained bad head injuries, and
recently over the Christmas period has seen
the deaths of his 5-year old twin boys from
malaria, and is deeply grieving. He is also
probably still the worst injured.
PERU
Please continue to
remember in
prayer
Ken and
Alison Barrett’s (Madrid) visit to
Peru. In particular, please
pray
that they will cope with altitude sickness.
From Monday to Thursday this week they are
in Huaraz,
visiting a project where there are Spanish
workers. This weekend they head to
Yurimaguas
in the high jungle region to join
Luis and
Anne-Laure Mostacero for the
missionary institute sessions.
FRANCE
Mike Packer
reports that
Alison
is making good progress and is now able to
eat certain foods and drink without any
adverse reactions. She is also having an
hour of physiotherapy each day and even goes
out for a short walk in the clinic grounds.
Please pray
for this good progress to continue.
