BELGIUM
Anne
Dryburgh (Rekkem)
would appreciate
prayer
for those who received John’s gospels that she distributed last
week. Please
pray
that these will be read and that hearts will be changed by the Lord.
As always, she meets with many women for discipleship
on an individual basis. The women she meets with come from 5
different countries, are of different age ranges, and have a variety
of life circumstances. Please do
pray
for the living word to speak into their lives and for them to know
the life and hope our Lord brings.
She asks for
prayer
for one woman in particular. She has been a Christian for a couple
of years now. When she grew up she did not know who her father was
and hardly saw her mother. Before becoming a Christian, she had been
in a number of abusive relationships and her children tend to treat
her in the same way. It is encouraging to see how the Lord is
changing her and seeing her tell others about Him.
ETHNIC MINORITIES
Ruth
Cushing (Merseyside) –
would value
prayer
for the many difficult situations she has encountered in recent
months amongst her friends, and also as a result of events in the
UK. These have included divorces, house moves, asylum claims,
bereavement, major surgery, domestic violence and the month of
Ramadan, which gave many opportunities to share the Gospel.
Pray
that through practical help shown by
Ruth,
her friends will see the love of Jesus.
Pray
for
'A',
who has a difficult situation, and who
Ruth
has been discipling for the last few months.
'E'

FRANCE
David and Brigitte Sutherland (Lyon) –
would value
prayer
as they attend a camp at the
Centre des Jeunes
from
6-20th
August.
The camp is attended by around 200 people and their role will be to
be available for campers to talk to and share problems they may
have.
Pray
they will be spiritually fresh, willing to listen and able to
discern what the Lord’s will is for these different people.
In addition, please
pray
for two local men. The first is a baker with whom they have had a
number of spiritual talks. He is very open, but is convinced that
Islam is the answer. The second is a man whose wife is a member of
the church. He is a non-practicing Muslim. Please
pray
that the Lord will reveal himself to these men.
