MISSIONARY PRAYER NEWSLETTER

MAY  2016

D C R  of CONGO

Mary Ratter (Katoka) writes that Josh & Keri Kaye have settled in well. Josh  has spoken with an interpreter at the youth meetings. Keri  has spent 2 mornings as an observer at the Primary School seeking to assess how best she can help in the education dept. of the work. They have both started learning Chokwe, so do keep praying for them both as they cope with all the new experiences.

ZAMBIA

Barry and Rachel Haigh are back at Nyangonbe and ask us to pray for the Leaders Bible School for two weeks in May.

THAILAND

David and Maureen Wood (Chiang Mai) ask us to please remember the staff and students of Grace International School as preparations are made to move the school to a new site. Although it will be some time before this happens a great deal needs to be planned before the move can take place.

ARGENTINA

Jim & Betty Burnett (Parana) ask us to remember in prayer a new Assembly that has been formed, the North Parana Assembly. There are currently a total of 21 in the new Assembly, including their daughter and son-in-law, Heber & Fiona Gallitto.

In the original Parana Assembly, several new people are attending. They are praying that they will have four or five believers baptised shortly, including a man called “M” who is heavily tattooed and concerned about it. They thank God that “clothed in His righteousness he stands” and is totally “accepted in the beloved one.”

ALBANIA
Colin and Elida Stephen (Shkoder) would value prayer for their youth camp in August. They are expecting approximately 150 people to attend. Pray that God will call many to salvation and  that the youth serving there, will be encouraged to become more involved in their service for the Lord.

The Hiding Place (Gjirokaster) -  Marijan Nyhopf retires later this year and from May, Jorida, who will take over, and will start working alongside Marijan for the next few months. Please remember in prayer this hand-over of responsibilities.

CYPRUS

Logos School— They would appreciate our prayers for filling  vacant teaching positions for Primary and Secondary Teachers for the next Academic Year starting Sept. 2016. Please pray that the Lord will bring suitable people to meet the need

FRANCE
Allan and Anne Kitt (Le Havre) would appreciate prayer for a young man who has asked for baptism.

The Lord spoke to him last summer, after a period of rebellion against the gospel. Since then, the young man has been regularly and thoughtfully reading the Bible, praying and witnessing to fellow students. It's wonderful to see how the Lord transforms people and situations. The young man wants to wait until July, after university exams, before he gets baptised, so that as many of his friends as possible can be there. Please pray that he will continue to grow in faith and the knowledge of the Lord.

In addition, please pray for the series of training sessions for potential church leaders that was recently launched with an initial course on how to study the Bible. Please pray that this long term initiative will help prepare people to serve the Lord.

OTHER SERVICE

A full-size replica of Noah’s Ark, with replica animals, has been built in the Netherlands. In May it is planned to take it by ship to Sao Paulo, Brazil, for this year’s Olympic Games. A large number of Bibles and other Scriptural material will be sent with it including copies of the Hebrew-Portuguese Scriptures + other languages for the expected many people who will visit the Ark. Please pray this project may succeed.
