THAILAND
David and Maureen Wood (Chiang Mai) would value prayer for a young Thai worker who was recently baptised, and a security guard who has recently put his trust in the Lord. Please pray for these new believers, that they will grow in their faith.

ALBANIA

Enris Nase (Tirana) reports they are actively looking for a Director for The Hiding Place at Gjirokaster to replace Marijan Nijhof as she is preparing to retire next year after more than 20 years of faithful service in Albania. Supporting prayer would be appreciated for this task.

Enris continues to visit Lezha prison every Thursday. There has been an increased interest in spiritual issues and they were delighted to have one of the inmates at the Sunday Gospel meeting a few weeks ago, while he was on leave for a few days to visit his family. He professed faith in Christ a few months ago, and this was his first time to be together with other Christians.

They are having many regular visitors at the gospel meeting on Sundays. Some local Christians have grasped the importance of sharing the Good News with their friends and the evident results are new people being interested in spiritual matters. They are praying that the Lord may bless the effort made and that they would have the joy of seeing them saved. Please remember this outreach in prayer.

Children’s meetings continue every Saturday morning and are very encouraging.

ALBANIA
Colin and Elida Stephen – Colin is teaching both the Youth Group each Friday studying Ephesians and also the Church each Sunday morning studying Luke’s Gospel. Please pray that he will have adequate time to prepare each week. In addition, please pray for a couple who lost their son in the summer and have recently returned to church. Pray that they will grow in faith and love for the Lord during this difficult time.

BELGIUM
Anne Dryburgh (Rekkem) would value prayer for the women she meets with, many of whom are in abusive marital relationships. Please pray that the faith of these women will continue to grow and that they will become closer to the Lord.

CYPRUS

Colin Clarke reports that the student numbers at the Logos School have remained good, and there is still freedom to preach the Gospel. For the year ahead they look to God for guidance over new premises for the school, and continued protection from accidents and incidents.

ETHNIC MINORITIES

Ruth Cushing (Merseyside) – Praise God for a great time with the ladies from the Friday Coffee Morning as they watched the crucifixion part of the “Jesus” film together, two weeks ago. Afterwards there was a great discussion with them for over half an hour. Pray that they will continue to think over what they saw and talked about. They each took a copy of the “Jesus” DVD home in their own language.

FRANCE
Allan and Anne Kitt (Le Havre) give thanks for the increased attendance, compared to last year, at the two Christmas services including a number of unbelievers who came. Please give thanks for the opportunity for those who attended to hear the gospel.

Graham and Alison Black (Bouc Bel Air). At the Voice of the Gospel ministries things continue to be encouraging in general. The three main avenues of service, radio, bible correspondence courses and the printed page continue to give much encouragement overall.

We are glad to report that others have come forward to give messages for the radio programmes and that our stock of messages has built up again. Others have said that they will come along to do trial runs for recording messages so this is most encouraging.

At the moment the technician is working on the next batch of programmes to be sent out to the radio stations that broadcast them all over the French speaking world.

MACEDONIA

Olive Wilson (Bitola) writes that the Assembly have enjoyed another year of God’s grace as they have reached out to individuals. Please remember in prayer an orthopaedic surgeon, “V”,  who is reading the Bible.  His mother-in-law is also interested in spiritual matters but attempts to contact her have not proved fruitful.

Prayer would be valued for Olive’s annual visa renewal which will be due at the end of January.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Noel and Liza McMeekin (Cootehill) would value prayer for the informal Bible studies that take place in people’s homes. Please pray that as they discuss the scriptures, those who attend will draw closer to the Lord.

Andrew and Lorna Burt (Enniscorthy) would appreciate prayer for the 12 men who attend the monthly prayer breakfast. Please pray that they will continue to grow in their knowledge of the Lord and in their commitment to serve Him each day.

Michael and Shirley McKillen (Gorey) would appreciate prayer for an 8-week evangelistic Christianity Explored Bible study starting on 12th January. Please pray for both teachers and students.. Pray that contacts, including family members of those in the assembly, might come along and be saved.

On a regular basis there is other ongoing outreach through Bible studies, Youth Club, Sunday School and visitation, etc.

Over the past year the Assembly have purchased the ground floor of a two storey building they considered suitable for the Lord’s work.

Since then they have put in a low offer for the upper part and this has been accepted in principle, although it may take some time to complete.

They appreciate prayer for this young assembly (about 5 yrs. Old) with its joys, challenges, and at times sadness, and particularly ask prayer for:

¨ A smooth completion of the purchase of the top floor.

¨ Provision of the right people for the job.

¨ A favourable reception in the local community.

¨ Continued unity among the assembly and a primary focus on Christ.

¨ God’s wisdom and provision in the refurbishment process.
