ANGOLA
Brian & Debbie Howden
return to Angola from the 14th July to the
9th August (D.V.).
Bible teaching
meetings at 6am each morning Monday through to Saturday are
again a key feature of this visit, please pray that
the Lord will bless His Word to the edifying of many. Please
remember them in prayer.
MALAWI
Steve
Harper
asks for
prayer
as he prepares for an outreach visit in August. He hopes to
progress several small projects to help various vulnerable
individuals who were adversely affected by the storms
earlier this year. And he will be seeking to engage in
further open-air preaching and literature distribution.
REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA
Paul
and Dorothy Grieve (Murchison) –
Each year in July the Zulu men hold a ‘Men’s Bible
Week’, when believers from all over the country gather for
in-depth Bible teaching, which they then take back to their
local assemblies. Paul will be responsible for much of the
teaching. Please pray that what he has prepared and
presents will be in keeping with their needs, strengthen
their faith and challenge them to live for Christ.
ZAMBIA
Eric and
Margaret McCaughren (Kitwe) -
are to spend the month of July with Ruth Hadley. They have
submitted their request at the Angolan Embassy for visitor’s
visas, and would appreciate prayer that these will be
granted as soon as possible.
Barry
and Rachel Haigh (DPG Zambia 1966 – 2006)
would value prayer as they spend some time in Zambia
teaching, taking part in several evangelistic camps, and a
regional conference being held in August. From 3rd
– 7th July they will be helping at a youth
camp at which 100 are expected to attend, and from 20th
– 27th July they will assist at a Bible
school. Pray for Barry as he teaches, and for
all those taking part in these events that they will be
blessed and encouraged.
Jamie & Marilyn McIlree (Chingola)
“I return to Zambia on the 29th June and then to
go to the Congo, and there to attend a number of conferences
and meetings across quite a large area of the Katanga
province. Although I hope to help with Bible teaching the
main purpose of this visit is to investigate the
possibilities for importing and distributing literature in
the country. On previous visits to Congo it was evident that
there is a very serious lack of Bibles and sound literature
available to the believers there and the consequences of
that are clear to see. We would appreciate your prayers for
the Lord's leading on this trip and also that we might know
His will for the months ahead. Marilyn will be remaining at
home with Abby and Isaac; I expect to return to them in
mid-August. All of this is of course subject to the will of
the Lord.”
Julie-Rachel
Elwood –
Please pray for a Senior Girls camp that will take place at
Chitokoloki from 3rd - 7th
July. Pray that as the girls hear the Gospel, they
will understand their need for salvation.
Ian and Marilyn Campbell (Chingola) –
On their return from the UK they found that many more of the
Emmaus student prisoners had been sentenced and transferred
to the Maximum Security Prison, some on life sentences. Many
of these are keen to continue studying the courses. Pray
for them, that they will be able to continue, and that this
will result in many committing their lives to Christ. In
addition, please pray that those involved with the
prison ministry and Emmaus courses will gain permission to
visit the prisons regularly, as there is often a problem
with sending and receiving courses through the post.
INDIA
Ian and
Anita Elliott
- Please continue to pray regarding their situation –
Ian being in the UK and Anita unable to return
to the UK due to refusal of her residence visa by the
immigration authorities. A contact is in the process of
writing to a senior politician, in the hope that he will be
able to take up this matter with those who can reverse the
decision which has been made. Pray that there will be
a positive outcome.
PAKISTAN
Eunice
Jones -
The 'life of Christ' book has now been
accepted by the printers. Please pray that it will be
widely distributed and that people will be willing to read
it. Pray also for the next step, which will be to get
the book recorded and Eunice hopes to do this in the
next few weeks. Please remember Eunice as she leaves
Pakistan shortly and returns to the UK for three months.

continuing to translate Bert Cargill's Christian booklets.
John and Claudette Axford
have had opportunities to spend time in homes in Tupi where
people have been open to the Gospel. They have visited a
husband and wife several times who responded with a good
interest in spiritual matters, and were challenged by what
they heard. Pray that this couple will come to know Christ.
In addition, John and Claudette recently visited several
assemblies in Brazilia and ask prayer for the believers
there, and especially for new believers who live further
North of Brazilia, and find themselves in isolation
regarding fellowship.
CANADA
Peter
Smith

value prayer for an outreach commencing in
Roseisle on July 6th with a week of
morning Treasure Seekers children’s meetings. Pray
they will be blessed with good weather, site protection,
good interest in the Word of God, freshness and power in the
proclamation of the Gospel, whether to children or adults
and above all that the Lord will be glorified.
Peter
has been asked if he would go to Ethiopia for a time next
year to help. For the past two years he has also been
burdened to pray much for Namibia. There are
currently no assembly missionaries or assemblies in this
land that borders the Atlantic Ocean in southern Africa. He
is currently considering a 2-week visit in September. Please
pray that he’ll know the Lord’s guidance about
the matter.

Di Barry (Cesky
Tesin)
asks prayer for the Vietnamese children who are being
educated in Czech Republic, and who are occasionally given a
Sunday school lesson taught by an English lady, whose Czech
vocabulary and grammar is quite limited. Pray that
this will not prevent the children from understanding the
Gospel message, and pray that a Czech national will
commit to teaching the children regularly. In addition,
pray that the Vietnamese pastor who has been ill
recently will make a full recovery.
FRANCE
Christian
and Catherin Moreau
would value prayer for the youth work in Laval, and for
wisdom in the decisions to be made regarding whether to join
the different age groups with another church, despite
distance. In addition, pray that they would have
opportunities to reach parents of the teenagers who come
from non-Christian families.
Graham
& Alison Black
had to reschedule the final meeting of the Christianity
Explored group, and it has now been re-arranged for
Thursday 9th July.
They are encouraged to report that a couple has come forward
to replace them in the leadership of the Voice of the
Gospel ministries in the summer of 2016. This is a
real answer to prayer and they would ask us to
pray for us that the Lord would show us what the next
step should be and where we should live after next summer DV.
Allan
and Anne Kitt
(Le Havre) would value prayer for a week of evangelism that
will cover the entire city of Le Havre from 13th-19th
July. It is hoped that a team of 60 will be working with
several churches and will be involved in evangelistic
outreach activities in different areas of the city. On 18th
July the team will be working in the area of the
assembly which Allan and Anne attend, and we
are asked to pray for good weather to facilitate the
various outdoor activities that are planned. Pray for those
involved in the event and for lives to be touched by the
gospel.
Paul and Andrea Smith (St. Lunaire)
will begin a 7-week series of camps from 9th
July onwards at the Centre des Jeunes.
Please pray that they will have the strength to cope
with the 200 people who will attend the camp each day and
for the preparation that will take place over the following
days. In addition they advise that Anne-Sandrine has joined
the centre as a full-time cook. Please pray that she
will settle into her new role and know the Lord’s help as
she and her staff enter a very busy summer period.

by Laotian churches from 24th-31st
July. The camp is aimed at youth aged 15-25 and around
50 people are expected to attend. Please pray for him
in this ministry and that those who come will be brought
closer to the Lord.
Malcolm and
Hannah Coombes (Senior Workers)
would value prayer for their participation in the
Thursday morning Bible stand at an open-air market in

world visiting the market. Please pray for
opportunities to share the gospel and for the Lord to give
strength to those running the Bible stand. The stand will be
operating on 23rd, 30th July, 6th,
13th August, and 10th September
IRELAND
Andrew and Gillian Shanks (Newcastle West)

where they have been invited to host a stall at a garden
fete organised by the local nursing home. They will have the

who hear the gospel and that Andrew and Gillian
will be encouraged by this opportunity.

ask prayer for the fellowship in Skien, that they would see
an increased interest spiritually as they witness to
neighbours and friends through friendship evangelism.
SPAIN
Jesús and
Helen Ortiz
– Pray that the elders of the Soria assembly
will have wisdom regarding the possibility of buying
property next door to the present assembly building. It
would provide more room for the Sunday school and clothes
depot. In addition, please continue to pray for the
clothes ministry, as it brings opportunities for them to
witness to those who call in.
