ANGOLA
Brian & Debbie Howden
thank us for
praying
for their recent visit. The 6000 Portuguese Bibles and other
literature and supplies were safely and speedily released through
customs and arrived at
Camundambala
a day or so before our arrival. This was a tremendous answer to
prayer.
We were able to give
help to the older men of the Assembly at
Camundambala
on the doctrines of the gospel which was received
with willingness and humility.
Brian
was able to give teaching on some serious issues that were affecting
the fellowship at
Caungula,
and a week of 6:00 am Bible readings at an
Assembly in
Saurimo. There were about 250 in
attendance for the studies on various aspects of the NT church – the
simple truths were a revelation to many of the believers.
It was not such a good
time in repairing the printing machines; these are necessary for the
printing of books and Bible courses, but it was not possible to get
them to work again, and was very frustrating since there is a
continuous call for courses to be provided.
EGYPT
Geoff Payne (UK)
would value
prayer
for his travels to Egypt from the
27th
November.
Pray
for good health, safety in travel and that good connections would be
made with churches in various areas.
MALAWI
Stephen Harper
has taken delivery of the 2016 calendars and has
begun distribution of 50,000 calendars and around 30,000 tracts.
Some of those involved in the distribution are getting up at 4:00am,
and cycling for 4 hours. What a privilege to carry the glorious
Gospel of Christ – the only message which can free the 17 million
population from the chains of sin!
TANZANIA
Steve
and Gill Davies (Dar-es-Salaam)
– ask for
prayer
for
Gill’s
mother who has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer. She has
had surgery.
Pray
that the Lord would work in this situation and give her the strength
she needs to make a full recovery.
Ron and
Maria Cunningham (Senior Workers)
– ask us to pray
for the situation regarding the cost of Bibles.
Ron
recently had to reduce his order by 50% because of such a
significant cost increase.
Pray
that the Lord would work in this situation, so that no one will miss
out on receiving a Bible.
INDIA
As mentioned last week at the Prayer Meeting,
Anita Elliot (New Delhi)
has been granted
an entry permit to
live in this country. The
Elliot’s thank us
for
praying
for this situation that had geographically split the family.
NEPAL
Benji
and Gill Daniel –
Continue to
pray
for
Benji
and Gill as they
travel around various areas affected by the earthquake in
Nepal
earlier this year.
Pray
for wisdom as they try to support and encourage those affected by
the disaster, and those who have lost so much.
ARGENTINA
Heber and Fiona Gallitto (Parana)
have found a possible new building for their church, as their
current hall is too small.
Pray
that the preparation and paperwork would come together and that the
new building will meet the needs of the church.
PANAMA
Clive and Hazel Walker (Santiago)
would value
prayer
for Christian literature being distributed to various churches.
Sixty thousand Spanish calendars have been ordered, for distribution
in Mexico and Panama.
FRANCE
Alan
and Valerie Kyle (Rambouillet)
– Continue to
pray
as the church search for new premises. The council have refused them
the use of the public hall for their Christmas outreach on
13th
December.
Pray
that the Lord would provide suitable alternative premises.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
John
and Linda Stanfield (Limerick)
would value
prayer
for the evangelistic Bible study that takes place after the
provision of free meals.
Pray
for unbelievers who attend this event and that through asking
questions, they would be brought closer to knowing the Lord.
SPAIN
Ken and Alison Barrett (Madrid)
will be holding a Christmas Supper on
12th
December, to which
they hope a number of contacts from
Kofi Jaus and other
community activities will attend.
Pray
for all those who come, that the gospel message received will make
them realise their need for a Saviour.
