REPUBLIC
OF SOUTH AFRICA
Terry
and Jane Gilpin (Murchison) would value
prayer as they prepare for
the combined Assemblies Easter Conference, which will be three days
of fellowship and ministry. About 250 people are expected to be
present. Terry, along with
Benedict, an African
evangelist, will be speaking.
TANZANIA
Ron
and Maria Cunningham (Moshi) -
Prayer would be valued for
new work at Sambari. Two men
have been visiting the district weekly, and have had a good response
to tracts and invitations. Numbers have increased to around 17. They
are eager to do Emmaus Bible study
courses.
ZAMBIA
Philip and
Deborah Cole (Chingola) -
Prayer is requested for the Bible study groups they hold at
their home each week. Philip
has been teaching five teenage lads each Wednesday and they have
just started studies on
Baptism.
Deborah has her Saturday
morning group of girls who have been attending regularly.
Prayer is asked that they
will realise the importance to live their lives as true Christians
in the community.
Julie-Rachel Elwood (Chitokoloki) - The hospital has been and
continues to be very busy especially with very sick children.
Prayer would be valued for
all those working at the hospital as the work can be very
emotionally draining.
Medical supplies have been very low of late and
prayer is asked that the
stocks will be replenished.
ARGENTINA
Heber and
Fiona Gallitto (Parana) -
Daniel Sevilla, from Honduras, have had legal permission to
install three television channels. This will allow them to produce
programmes containing newscasts, documentaries, sports, etc, but
also as a channel to spread the gospel and teach the Bible, and as a
source of work within the assembly, covering
Parana and
Santa Fe.
Prayer would be valued for
the human and financial resources. A Project Director is required
plus an initial team of 15 members. The first step was planned for
the end of March, when the installation of test equipment was to be
tried. This is important for the final authorisation and approval of
the licence.
CANADA
Peter
Smith is planned to visit the week long
International PBS Conference
in N.Ireland immediately after Easter, and would value
prayer for travelling and the
benefits of the Conference.
EASTERN
EUROPE
Martin and Margaret Baker would value
prayer for their visit to
southern Poland for Bible teaching
31st March–5th April. The visit will include the weekend
Bible school and visits to assemblies.
FRANCE
Allan and
Anne Kitt would value prayer for the move back to
Le Havre and also for the
church at Villefranche
preparing to continue without the help of a full-time couple.
Two women are to be baptised
17th April. One who is
married has a husband and extended family who are fairly hostile to
her faith. Please pray for
these women and their families.
