Redcar GH:Missionary

The following information comes mainly from the Echoes weekly prayer bulletin and further details can be found on their web site. Other prayer requests have come from direct communication with the missionary involved. The prayer requests listed here are, as far as is sensibly practical, for activities that are happening on the particular week. INDIA

Pray for John and Eileen Cossins (UK), who travelled to India on 19th October, spending time at Hebron Hostel, Nidadavole. They return to the UK on 17th November. Pray for safe travel and success in fulfilling all their tasks whilst there.

JAPAN

David and Esther Dexter (Miyazaki) request prayer as they prepare for their special Christmas outreaches.

The International Family Christmas is planned for 5th December and the church Christmas service is on 19th December.

Ken and Christine Cowell request prayer for the English service at Kushiro on 24th October.

ARGENTINA

Heber and Fiona Gallitto (Parana) remind us to pray for their outreach event in Parana, from 28th to 31st October. Christian young people from all over the country will come together for four days of evangelism and missions activities. In addition to one-to-one and open air evangelism, children’s meetings, etc, they will be helping in the community and setting up health stalls to give medical checks to local people. There will be a special mission to the north-east of the city, with a view to starting a church in that area. Pray that many contacts will be made and that folk will be touched by the gospel message.

CANADA

Peter Smith is this week in Okanogan for the first of four series of Treasure Seekers.

LEBANON

Jonathan and Naomi Dieter (Beirut) remind us to keep on praying as Naomi applies for residence papers for herself and Saoirse (baby). Pray that these will be granted without any complications.

NORWAY

Pray for Nat Rodgers (Skien), who is booked to take two weeks of evangelistic meetings on the island of Karmoy from 21st October. Pray that many will attend and that the Lord will bless His Word.

LOCAL

Coffee & Chat each Wednesday morning at 10:30 am.

David Cartwright is responsible for the Gospel Service next Sunday evening at 6:30 pm.

Ian Campbell is taking Children’s Meetings this week at Hebron Hall, S. Shields. Next week he is taking “Creation Meetings” at Pamber Heath, Hants.

Jim McMaster (Gateshead) reports: “A truly wonderful time sharing the gospel last Sunday night at the soup kitchen. A couple of tragedies among the folks meant we had an unusually sober atmosphere and abundant opportunities to share the gospel to receptive hearts.”
