ZAMBIA
Eric and
Margaret McCaughren (Kitwe) report
that David
Lukama is making a good recovery from
the car accident (see
April 25th Missionary Prayer Requests)
and is due to be discharged soon.
Maria
is now speaking and taking food and
Gift
remains paralysed but now has some feeling
in the lower half of his body. Please
continue to remember this situation in your
prayers.

and Rachel Haigh

prayer
as they prepare for their visit to Zambia

June until the end of September. They
have a full programme of ministry,
children’s camps and Bible schools. Also
Barry
is holding a week of
Lunda
language schooling for mission workers who
want to learn the language.
INDIA
Ron and Lilo
Penny (Bangalore) - Girls at
Kollegal
School, who will receive their High
School exam results shortly, and want to
apply for higher education, are prevented
doing so due to financial implications. Many
families are extremely poor.
Prayer
would be valued for wisdom as the trustees
of Kollegal
School meet during
May
to discuss this situation.
FRANCE
Graham and
Alison Black – Asks prayer for
Gaelle
who will be baptised on the 22nd
May, and her family, traditionally Catholic,
who will probably attend. Her baptism was
previously cancelled due to health problems.
IRELAND
John and
Linda Stanfield (Limerick) - 20,000
gospel magazines are planned for
distribution shortly.
Prayer
is asked that there will be many requests
for Bibles and other literature.
MACEDONIA
Olive Wilson
- Prayer is asked for an American
team who will visit up to 100 Roma families
18th
– 20th
May. During these three days there
will be intensive interpreting.
Prayer
is asked for those involved, for strength
and blessing and for the follow-up work over
the next few months.
Prayer
is also asked for a Roma brother,
Zani,
who has been distributing New Testaments in
the surrounding villages, that he will be
encouraged and that the Word will bring
fruit in these untouched areas. He has not
always been well received due to ethnic
prejudice.
Zani is currently unemployed and
would value
prayer for this situation.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett asks
prayer
for a course being run by the
Madrid Bible Teaching Centre
20th
and 21st
May. National worker
Anonio Ruiz
is teaching on ‘The
History of Salvation in the Old Testament’.
Prayer
is asked for diligent students and spiritual
blessing for the local churches involved.
