ZAMBIA
Julie-Rachel
Elwood (Chitokoloki) asks for
prayer
as she takes a few days off this week. She
plans to focus on studying the
Lunda language as she has not had
much time to do this over the last few
months.
PERU
Luis and
Anne-Laure Mostacero (Trujillo) would
value prayer
for their first
ladies’
missionary conference, to be held on 17th
November.
From 18th to 22nd they will be at a leaders’
conference in
Yurimaguas,
in the jungle area.
FRANCE
Graham and
Alison Black (Bouc
Bel Air) have been encouraged to see
three people attending their
Alpha course. One of these is a
confirmed
atheist, who says he would like to believe
but can’t. Please
pray
for this man and his wife who also attends.
The third member of the group, a man is very
keen and drinks in everything that is said.
Here at the
Voice of the Gospel we have had an
increasing number of requests recently from
correspondence course students asking if
they could do the courses on-line by
internet. We were sad to have to turn
down two students who wanted to do courses
with us and because of the circumstances in
the countries where they live, their only
option is to do the courses on-line. This
looks to be the way ahead and so at the
moment we are looking into the possibility
of setting this up and will be visiting
other folks soon who are already using this
method so as to get some help and advice.
The message we preach never changes, and we
wouldn't want it to change, but the method
of spreading it can change as we reach out
to a very fast changing world.
In the radio work,
a replacement studio recording technician is
still being sought.
Pray
that the Lord will supply this need.
IRELAND
Noel
McMeekin (Drum)
requests
prayer for the distribution of a
gospel magazine to each home in the town of
Cooteshill
during the next 2 weeks.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) request
prayer for the regional conference of the
assemblies on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th
November in Madrid. As the assemblies are
scattered, there is a need for unity and new
links to be built and for pioneer work to
interest a wider cross-section of the
members.
Jaume Llenas, General Secretary of
the Spanish Evangelical Alliance, is the
conference speaker. Ken and Alison are
running a stand to promote their literature
and training courses.
