ANGOLA
Brian &
Debbie Howden are due to re-visit
Angola from this weekend until the 10th
March.
They anticipate
being at
Camundambala for the whole time and
are thankful that they can do this. As well
as giving spiritual teaching and guidance
there is practical work needing to be done.
There is considerable work to be done on the
house and so time will have to be spent in
its renovation and up keep. The Gospel Hall
at the
Leprosaria has become unsafe to
gather in so there is a need to over see its
demolition and the purchase of materials, in
order to start rebuilding in the dry season.
Please
pray
with them and for them in these things, that
the time spent will be blessed by the Lord
and encouragement to His people.
Ruth
Hadley (left) – Pray
that
Ruth’s
ankle, which was thought to be dislocated
after a fall, and has been realigned and
plastered, will heal satisfactorily.
Pray
that she would be guided to know where, if
necessary, she needs to go to get a clearer
diagnosis.
PANAMA
Clive and Hazel Walker (Santiago) -
In Panama many
join in a pilgrimage each year (mainly
between
13-18th
February)
to celebrate their devotion to the statue
‘Jesus of Nazareth of Atalya’, believing
that this statue has special powers to
answer their prayers and perform miracles.
Clive
and
Hazel
ask
prayer
that as a table is set up with tracts and
New Testaments, to distribute to people
during this time, the Lord would encourage
their hearts, as well as touching lives with
the Gospel.
FRANCE
Jonathan and Amanda Hanley (Dinan)
would
appreciate
prayer
for the Scripture Union General meeting to
be held on
16th
February,
and that the right person will be appointed
as a full time director for the SU
publication department.
Allan
and Anne Kitt (Le Havre) left)
ask
prayer
for the Bible exhibition that has been held
in
Villefranche-sur-Saône
from
6th-13th February.
138 school
children visited the exhibition with their
teachers on the first day, and there were 32
visitors in the afternoon. On Monday 11th
French evangelist
Jean
Koumarianos
gave an evening talk on "The
Bible through the ages".
Pray
that many will be challenged to read the
Bible, and seek to know more about the
Gospel of Christ.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Noel and Liza McMeekin(Drum)
continue the
Postal Bible Prizegivings
at
Cavan
(11th
February),
Cootehill
(13th),
and
Wicklow
(17th).
Pray for
good attendances at each venue over the
coming weeks, and safety of travel.
ITALY
Giovanni and Hannah Donato (Siena) – Pray
for the Mission week at
Malta University 16-23rd
February
where
Giovanni
will be taking 5 students with him to help
the Christian Union, and he will be giving
several evangelistic talks.
Pray
that many students would attend the meetings
and respond to the Gospel messages.
LOCAL
"Coffee
and Chat" -
an informal meeting, on a Wednesday morning
at 10:30 am.
John
Wilcock (Wylam) is planned to be with us to
take the Gospel Service next Sunday. Please
remember in
prayer.
