RWANDA
Jano
and Chrissie Mulindabigwi (Kigali)
ask us to
pray for the children in the AIDS and
Orphans Project that they will have the
wisdom to study well.
Jano
and Chrissie
plan to visit refugees in Congo at the end
of this month and are also supporting those
who have come into Rwanda.
Pray
for these folk, who face continual problems.
TANZANIA
Ron and
Maria Cunningham (Moshi) request
prayer
for the Kahe
Assembly Conference, being held on
17th January
from 10 am-3 pm. The
Mawala
Assembly will also join
Kahe
for this occasion. Please
pray
that the Lord will be honoured and the
people encouraged to be faithful to Him.
Also, Ron
has visited various workplaces and people to
distribute calendars. Please
pray
that these calendars will be read and that
the Holy Spirit will do His work in people’s
hearts.
ZAMBIA
Stephen and
Muriel Studd (Chingola) advise that
while Stephen was helping
Steve Grove
to move some platforms, the brakes failed on
the truck they were using. The truck was
parked at the time, but as the handbrake was
also faulty, the truck ran down and crashed
into diesel containers. The containers now
need to be repaired and the truck is off the
road. Please
pray for wisdom in coping with this
difficult situation.
Robert and
Margaret Muir are visiting
Mambilima
for three weeks from
16th January.
Please pray
for safety of travel and that they will be a
blessing to those they meet.
FRANCE
Mike and
Alison Packer (Laval) report that
their friends’ young daughter
Lara
has not shown any sign of life since 1st
January, when she opened her eyes for a
moment. Her parents are constantly at her
bedside, and are completely exhausted. Their
other daughter
Juliette
recently broke her foot and is in
plaster. Please
pray
for Lara’s family at this difficult time.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Please pray for
Andrew
Shanks (Newcatle West) and his
colleague
Colin Burnett as they lead the first
‘Christianity
Explored’
this week.
Pray
that those who have been personally invited
and received invitations through letter
boxes will go along.
SPAIN
Ken and
Alison Barrett (Madrid) inform us
that the various events scheduled for the
past weekend, for which
prayer
was requested, were either cancelled or less
effective due to a heavy fall of snow which
caused chaos. Please
pray
with them this week as the church in
Alcala
has a week of prayer, meeting together each
day. The church meeting to give almost full
autonomy to the two sections has had to be
reorganised for this coming
Sunday, 18th.
Please continue to
pray
for love, unity and humility to move
forward, trusting God in the midst of
difficulties.
MIDDLE EAST
You will be well
aware from media reports of the fierce
conflict raging in the Middle East, and we
should continue to
pray
for those serving the Lord in these areas,
for His protection and wisdom at this
difficult and dangerous time.
