REPUBLIC
OF S. AFRICA
Terry
and Jane Gilpin (Murchison) would
value prayer
for a two-week series of outreach meetings
which is being planned by the
English-speaking assembly. They will take
place in a nearby township where the level
of crime, drunkenness and spiritual darkness
is high. Please
pray
for the believers, that they will see
blessing as they bring the light of God’s
Word to this area.
JAPAN
Ronnie and
Anne Cairns (Akashi) (right)
will be in
Izumo in mid-May for three days of
evangelism, Bible teaching and fellowship
with individual Christians. Later, towards
the end of the month, they will attend a
camp in
Karuizawa, north of Tokyo, where
Ronnie
will be responsible for the daily
evangelistic talks. Please
pray
that the Lord will give
Ronnie
the right words for these occasions.
Ken and
Christine Cowell (Kushiro) are having
a general farewell meeting on
17th May,
before their return to the UK. Around 170
people will attend, many of whom will be
non-Christians. These are folk whom the
Cowells
have known over the years they have lived in
Kushiro.
Pray
that God will give boldness and wisdom as
they share the gospel possibly for the last
time to so many people. Please
pray
that God will speak to many hearts through
the entire programme.
FRANCE
Alison
Packer (Laval) has recently returned
home after having treatment in Paris. An
abscess was discovered, which was drained,
and she was given intravenous antibiotics.
She reports that she is now feeling much
better and can concentrate on putting on
weight.

recently stayed behind after the youth club

and what it would mean for them to trust in
Jesus.
