David and
Brigitte Sutherland (Arras) request
prayer
for a mini Bible school for 18-25 year-olds
being held on
9th January,
6th February and 20th March. Please
pray
for those who lead and for the students.
Yannick
and Margaret Ollivier (Quimper
Region) report that
Margaret
was allowed home on the Saturday after her
operation, and has not been in any pain.
Also, the baby is still active and putting
on weight and one of the lungs seems to have
developed to normal size. However, it is
early days, and continued
prayer
would be valued.
REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND
Andrew and
Lorna Burt (Enniscorthy) have given
out Christian calendars to those who
attended Christmas events at the church and
also other friends and contacts, including
patients and staff in an old people’s home.
Pray
that these will be read and prove a blessing
to those who received them.
SPAIN
Ken Barrett
(Madrid)
asks for
prayer on
Saturday
10th January, when a group of young
people from a
Madrid
assembly will be visiting the historical
archive.
Pray that their interest will be
kindled and that they will want to make use
of this facility. Also on 10th, a cultural
organisation set up by believers in
Alcala
will hold its first public activity – a
‘Chocolate’ evening.
Pray
that this will lead to positive contacts
with people in the local community. On
Sunday 11th
January, the church at
Alcala de
Henares has its Annual General
Meeting, when they will be discussing
further autonomy for the offshoot
congregation at
Azuqueca,
and how to be good stewards in the face of
the economic downturn.
Pray
for love, wisdom and unity so that the Lord
may be glorified.
