ANGOLA
Please continue to
remember Stephen
Richardson (Jarrow) and his visit
to Saurimo
to help Ruth
Hadley.
MALAWI
Jonathan and
Ruth Newell (Blantyre) have a GLO
team from
Zambia coming to help out at Bethel
Chapel this month. It is hoped that they
will build on the work done by the British
team and that a youth group will be started
at the Newells’ home.
Jonathan
and Ruth
would also like to start a children’s club
and a midweek Bible study.
Pray
that the Lord will stir up interest among
the local people so that these plans can be
put into action.
REPUBLIC OF
SOUTH AFRICA
Paul and
Dorothy Grieve (Murchison) have been
encouraged to see three ladies being
baptised and brought into fellowship
recently.
Pray that these new believers will
grow in the knowledge of Christ.
ZAMBIA
Paul and
Angela Hannay ask us to
pray
for a man called
Brian,
whom Angela
has been visiting regularly in
Kalene
Hospital. He has recently been
discharged, but needs 24-hour care as he is
quadriplegic.
Pray
that he will be able to cope at home and
that his faith in the Lord will grow.
Please
also pray
for Jean-Luc
Hainaut (Eliya) (left), who
injured his leg two weeks ago and has now
developed an infection. He and
Rita
are travelling to
Chitokoloki
so that he can get medical treatment from
David McAdam.
Pray
that the treatment will be effective and
that Jean-Luc’s
leg will heal completely.
JAPAN

Cairns (Akashi) (right) is
responsible for the studies at the
Ashiya Bible
Camp this coming week, and will be
speaking on ‘The
Person and Work of the Holy Spirit’.

camp. Pray
that they will be built up and encouraged in
their faith.
BAHAMAS
Mark and
Carol Lacey request
prayer
for Troy,
a student at
The Haven who has shown considerable
promise since coming to know the Saviour
last year. He has expressed interest in
helping with night duties and would also
like to develop his skills in the carpentry
shop. Pray
that he will continue to make progress.
Remember also in
prayer the need for a Night Manager and a
Workshop Manager so that the facilities can
be used more fully.
MEXICO
Eglon
and Judith Harris (left)
report that in addition to the swine ’flu
that is causing such panic in Mexico, there
has also been an earthquake measuring 5.7 on
the Richter scale that is
making many people think about eternal
matters.
Pray that Christians will be able to
point them to the way of the cross so that
they can find peace in these troubled times.
FRANCE
Amanda
Burger (Ventabren) requests
prayer
for a seminar taking place at
l’Eau
Vive

10th May, on the theme of ‘Wounds
resulting from early childhood experiences’.
The teaching is aimed at those needing
healing in this area and wanting to grow in
Christian maturity. There around 60
participants. Please
pray
that the Lord will work powerfully in the
lives of those present, and for His
protection on the speakers and the team.
